TO THE MEMBERS OF SACRARIUM GRID

Your grid and users are not welcome here anymore. Your users have been harassing and messaging racist slurs at opensimworld users for years. You have harassed me personally and my family *in real life*. You keep doing it despite warnings and temporary bans

From now on you are permanently banned from listing and advertising anything from your grid in Opensimworld. Your regions are inactive anyway, they will be removed.

Your abusive accounts will be frozen. Do not attempt to create new ones , they will be removed.

Please advertise your grid etc on: Facebook, Twitter, Mewe, Discord, wherever, anywhere but NOT HERE . Enough is enough, you are not welcome here.
Happy New Year to all Opensim grid owners and users alike. I just want to add my thoughts as a few others have on the past year. We have all seen growth or maybe a decline in our grids and even so far as to have our grids banned by other grid owners. Isn't it bad enough real life has tossed us a pandemic to deal with. Losing Family & Friends we have cherished for years to a sickness we can't get control of. We all come online to escape real life even if just for a few hours, to forget our troubles and just have that bit of time to relax, have fun ... and maybe meet a new friend or two.

I recently had one of my users come to me and say why am I banned from such and such grid? My answer of course is "I have no idea no one has contacted me about any issues." I can tell you this ....if I have an issue with a user visiting my grid I am going to ban the offending user/users not the grid they came from. Banning the whole grid for the unfortunate actions of 1 or 2 users in my opinion is childish and very unfair to all the good users from that grid that have the same lets have fun and meet new people and share what each of us have to offer mind set. After all isn't Opensim supposed to be about offering a place to enjoy the free time you wish to spend online when you access a grid?

I and my partner have and will always try to offer a peaceful and enjoyable experience for users of our grid. If you have had an issue with one of our users please don't ban the grid ban the offending user/users and please feel free to contact me regarding any user from the grid. I am one of those No Tolerance for crap people that will not stand for a user tarnishing our grid by doing something they shouldn't. They want to do that crap it's time for them to move on find someplace else where it's acceptable or get their own grid. We have already banned and deleted one user for unacceptable activity and I am not afraid to do it again if needed.

I like to think and I'm sure I have shown to many visitors I am a very reasonable person to deal with. And I try to act on issues ASAP so the grid is enjoyable for users and visitors alike. See something you don't agree with message me and lets talk. Have a user issue message me and let me know so we can get any issues resolved quickly so we can get back to enjoying our grids and members.

Lets make 2022 a year of change for each of us in Opensim. Lets enjoy our online time helping each other, providing fun places and content for members and visitors to our grids, and working together to resolve any issues that arise in an adult manner.

LETS TALK !!!!!

In light of all the complaining about "copybotting" we have decided to give a "Builder's School" a shot, but this is strictly for beginners. If you are a seasoned builder it's not for you, however, if you'd like to share tips and building ideas to help other's become awesome builders it would be most welcome. If we get enough interest, we will set out a region and beacon and set up a day of the week when we can help teach building all manner of things from homes to hats and more. If you are interested in learning to build and give your grid original and unique content, these classes may just be for you. We will be teaching not only prim building, but how to turn that into mesh and also terraforming and landscaping as well as texture aligning and including many tips that make building in Open Sim a really "FUN" experience. If you would like to take these classes please contact me, Lavia Lavine, here in the OSW page via private message and I'll forward the information to you. -- Much Love, Lavia
Free port should now be set to copy , the purchase option is still live but will not work till our server is updated, so please use the copy option. If you have problems please send me a note card in world Nexus Storm and I will try and help. And dont forget our other great sims hg.neverworldgrid.com:8002:Advantis

To Laika and all the four-legged astronauts who have flown in Space

"The more time passes, the more I regret what happened. We shouldn't have done it... we didn't even learn enough from this mission to justify the loss of the animal."
Oleg Gazenko, one of the leading scientists in the space animal programme, and Laika's trainer, commented.

Laika was only two years old and before she was collected for the space programme she had known nothing but the cold of the Moscow streets. Before the launch, Yazdovsky wanted to give her a little happiness and took her home to play with his children: "I wanted to do something good for her, as she had very little time left to live.

Vladimir Yazdovsky made the final selection of dogs and designated their roles. Laika was to be the "flying dog" - a sacrifice to science on a one-way mission into space. Albina, who had already flown twice in a high-altitude test rocket, was designated as Laika's backup. The third dog, Mushka, was a "control dog" - she would stay on the ground and was used to test instrumentation and life support.

Laika was placed in the satellite capsule on 31 October 1957 - three days before the start of the mission. At that time of year, temperatures at the launch site were extremely low, so a hose connected to a heater was used to keep the container warm. Two assistants were in charge of keeping a constant watch over Laika before the start of the mission. Just before take-off on 3 November 1957, Laika's coat was cleaned with an ethanol solution, and those areas where the dog would wear sensors to monitor her bodily functions were painted with iodine.

One of the technicians who prepared the capsule before the final liftoff stated that "after Laika was placed in the container and before the hatch was closed, we kissed her nose and wished her bon voyage, knowing that she would not survive the flight."

Laika died hours after launch from overheating, which was probably caused by a failure of the R-7 central sustainer, part of the spacecraft's thermal system, to separate from the payload. The true cause and time of her death was not revealed until 2002; instead, it was widely reported that she had died on the sixth day,4 ran out of oxygen, or as the Soviet government initially claimed, was euthanised before oxygen depletion. The experiment demonstrated that it is possible for a living passenger to survive being put into orbit and endure microgravity, paving the way for human spaceflight and providing scientists with some of the first data on how living organisms react to spaceflight environments. Following Laika, the USSR sent eight more dogs into space, six of which returned alive to Earth.

Sputnik 2 was not designed to be retrievable, and it was always intended that Laika would die. The mission sparked a worldwide debate about the mistreatment of and experiments on animals to advance science. In the UK, the National Canine Defence League (NCDL, now the Dog Foundation) called for dog owners to observe a minute's silence in Laika's honour. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) received protests even before Radio Moscow had finished announcing the launch. Several animal rights groups protested outside Soviet embassies, others demonstrated outside the United Nations in New York, but some American scientists offered support to their Soviet colleagues, at least before Laika's death was announced.

Do you need a nice building in which to show off your creations/merchandize at OSFest?
Making mesh that fits the limits of the grid can be challenging but Luna Lunaria has kindly provided a solution!
" Fits the 64 x 64 and is full perms so that you can size it to your parcel and do with whatever you like. You can find it at the main landing as well as the landings for Oxygen, Sulphur, and Fluorine. Feel free to share it" - Luna Lunaria

Hello everyone,
I have a few updates regarding the future of Virtual Beach grid, the grid is slowly being brought back online, you may still find a few regions offline still. but hopefully a few days it will be fully back on-line.
I am now part owner Virtual Beach and sorta taking it over, so any questions you can also message me.

I am really excited for this adventure and the future of Virtual beach so bare with me as I will be learning some new things.

hopefully with in the next few weeks we will also do some much needed maintenance and updates and when that happens we will give a heads up.

Please pardon the dust of the Ferris wheel while its being fixed, it seems that January 14th or before caused it to break down. Issue is unknown and didn't know it was broken until recently. hopefully soon it will be fixed.

HAPPY 9th July for all argentinians who lives in OPENSIM !!! Long Live to ARGENTINA !!!
