Yikes! When did the chat box here replace posting? Doing so makes this group no better than looking for stuff via the front page box.
What posting does that chat can not.
1. It provides a way to post and reply in a threaded conversation. That way, we can more easily see what someone is looking for, the help that has been provided, and the help that is still needed.
2. We have a small core group of helpers. I'd like to keep them around, and add to the number. Posts make it easier to see who has helped and to create a post that acknowledges the helpers. In turn, the acknowledgement post helps the helpers by promoting their regions and/or interests.
3. A post can have a picture of what you want or otherwise bring attention to your post.
Someone said chatting is fast and more reliable. I'm not sure how. Once I know why chatting has come to be preferred, I can see what we can do to bring those features to posting.
What do you think?

chatbox is for conversation between 2 parties...postings are for everyone and you can also follow the thread as an outsider - imho :-)

Messages are for conversation between two people. And when someone asks in chat "hi where can i fine this house https://gyazo.com/15d880374c1da729bd89556874018764 Plz and Thank you," that is not a conversation between two people. It's a request directed to everyone, and best made in a post.

last time i was there if you watch local chat it was awarding currency to random visitors, like a sploder at a club would. that doesn't mean they would have it turned on 24 hours per day 365 days per year. you might contact their staff to inquire about such things, since i have no affiliation with them, its simply things i noticed while shopping there.

anybody know how to resize an animesh? I need this crab to be gargantuan! XD

nora...all crabs jokes aside, im almost positive animesh has to be reuploaded and all that to be resized, i think thats what marianna said fred did when they made a smaller cobra as an avatar, since the word gargantuan instantly made me think of their region and avatars :)
