Today I would like to talk to you about Hypergrid Games in AvatarLife.
Many times there has been talk of grids that have been improperly and unjustifiably advertised on Opensimworld in a misleading way, I don't understand how AvatarLife is still present here.
First of all, they don't have an open grid to Hypergrid; AvatarLife users, just like what happened in the past with Avitron, do not accept HG connections, neither outgoing nor incoming, yet they are FULL of things coming from Opensimulator (probably their team can go out for shopping...), from bodies to clothes to much more.
Furthermore, the region that is being advertised here is totally inappropriate, not only because it is unreachable for users, but also because it shows as reachable and instead requires registration (this can be read in the comments of the region).
To activate an account to purchase virtual currency, you also have to provide them with a document (something that not even Second Life requires unless in particular cases where it is really necessary).
No respect for privacy on the website, disregarding international laws.
There are plenty of Opensimulator grids that offer casinos where you can play safely and legally; one of these is for example Wolf Territories Grid, but there are others as well, while AvatarLife seems to have very little in terms of legitimacy, there are no official licenses for the use of currency in line with European laws, and some time ago there was a rather suspicious document regarding the validity of their RNG (Random Number Generator), which usually applies to European Video Lotteries and has little to do with Opensimulator scripts or LSL in general.
It would be interesting to understand, since there is no declared company behind this grid, with what legal premise (with servers based in England and therefore under English jurisdiction) they can be sure to be compliant.
But what surprises me the most is that the internal team is the same as AviTron's, and the modus operandi is the same; they take ideas from other platforms (and propose them in a borderline absurd way) both technically and architecturally.
So, I don't understand how their region is still allowed to be listed for advertising if they have little to do with HG.
Do you think they can be trusted? Not for me.
I have advised many to block incoming and outgoing connections from this grid, just as it happened with Avitron; users won't suffer from it since they can't travel in HG, only their staff members who go around taking things from Opensim and then passing through other grids will be affected, so blocking them to some extent seems reasonable, and if I were you, I would do it.
I would like some explanations on this matter, perhaps, so if I am mistaken, they can demonstrate their truths here.

AvatarLife is a great grid, with very honest and fair gridowners who work very hard to offer a trustworthy service to their users.
I'm not one of the staff, so I don't speak for them. I'm only offering my selfmade games in AvatarLife because the grid has a secure system that is necessary if you want to offer skillbased games. Security is everything when you want to offer skillgames. It is the only grid that holds many great skillgames, even the good old times Zyngo is there, and many other creators of skillgames that you can also find in Second Life. Their games proved themselves for fairplay for many many years. Inside AvatarLife the gridowners also check all gamesowner for fairplay conduct, just like what's happening in Second Life. All these measures are there to protect the players. Free contests are also available, with the grid owners offering a free 50 USD monthly Zyngo contest. You won't find that kind of opportunity anywhere in OpenSim. I don't know what kind of advantage you personally get by putting so much energy and horrible words into smashing all the good efforts of the grid owners and many creators in AvatarLife. You probably are just a gridowner yourself. I personally can't get why people like you feel the need to attack others in an environment that is meant to be relaxing, fun, creative and social. If we would shine every law in the world onto many grids in OpenSim, you would find a ton of violations. Starting with just textures: would you claim all textures in OpenSim are used according to their licenses? I doubt that. What I mean is, if you want to spoil the fun, you will always find something to attack other people, like you do now. So I guess it's up to any mature person to decide for themselves what they do in their own virtual free time. Last but not least: some of your claims are just not true. If you want to play the good guy, please don't start telling things that violate the truth.

It's true that not all grids are perfectly compliant with the law, especially those created at home or out of simple passion, but they don't profit from this.
If you profit, you'll agree with me that you're subject, especially for gambling, to certain rules based on the country where you're legally based. Indeed, there's no corporate reference on your website (you'll probably fix this soon, I know, now you've been warned and you'll try to protect yourself), unlike the largest grid, Wolf Grid by Lone, which is not only the most advanced at the moment but also has a solid legal basis with declared companies and much more. Also in Italy (I am Italian), there is Craft, which answers to a company and is perfectly compliant, but we can also mention OSGrid and other grids with clear positions and legal frameworks. And this doesn't disadvantage friendly grids at all since they don't profit anyway.
Taking free content from Opensim and locking it within AvatarLife is not a fair attitude towards the community, while opening Hypergrid and only blocking some content might have been more appropriate.
From personal experience, I tell you that having a region listed here where you invite people to your grid but don't allow them to visit via Hypergrid makes me think that OpenLife is right... you shouldn't even be listed.

You released your own version of Firestorm; publish its source code and start respecting the laws from there, don't violate the licenses.
Please respond to Openlife explaining the RNG story, I'm curious about it: how do you connect the RNG to an LSL-written VLT slot? How is it verified online by the authority responsible for control? Is it a valid certificate? Is it real? This is of technical interest to me because in the environment where I indulge, chess programming, there is a programmer working at Novomatic, and speaking to him, someone here can confirm, he explained to me that the games, the management of both online and real servers, the combinations, the payouts, and pay-ins are all registered and supervised by responsible authorities; in Italy, for example, there is Sogei, if I remember correctly, so they are not independent crypts and are not connected to control authorities. But I'm curious about this and would like to understand more.
Really, believe me, there are dozens of grids that give away regions to increase user numbers, but this doesn't mean you're the best or the most frequented. You've just said, "we give away regions, users come, we give them free things in Opensim that we take and they stay here, we pay for the rest to stay and create content". Wolf Grid by Lone doesn't do this, it doesn't give away regions; it's a truly immense and stable grid, the same goes for OSGrid, it doesn't give away regions and yet it has thousands of users, the same goes for others like Craft or Astralia, AviVerse, etc.
And just to clarify, my grid is located as a server in Italy and is owned servers (not rented from OVH or other hosting companies, except for domains) and complies with Italian and European laws... all of them, so much so that we have also removed the internal currency to avoid problems (which instead WTG can do because it is compliant on that too), so even you are commenting with not quite appropriate phrases.
Honestly, we hope to soon open our Italian base in WTG, on which we are working, because it gives us a lot of confidence as well as an unparalleled technical department.
Sushant knows these things well because I told him directly, especially when he came to AviVerse... honestly, if I could go back, I wouldn't let him set foot in my platform.
Also, remember that Linden Lab lives on users and the revenue they generate, including games, so if Linden has removed certain gaming machines or other systems, it's to avoid legal problems.

AvatarLife... what you're saying is pure advertising; illegitimately, you're promoting on HG a grid that is not part of the Hypergrid, so you shouldn't be here, and I hope the site owner will address the requests and remove your region.
Furthermore, what you're saying is blatantly FALSE because, just like Avitron, you have collected free content from all over Opensimulator. From OSGRID, you have Agorà avatars, content from SoulGrid, and many other grids, so what are you working hard on? On taking content for profit because uploads and much more are paid, just like it was in Avitron, and part of the team is the same.
