Bad Event Idea #1015: Best At Being Late To The Party
Showing up on time for a party can be awkward for the unprepared host, who generally expects guests to be "fashionably late". But worst of all is the guest who shows up raring to go just when the party is winding down. But being late to the "Best At Being Late To The Party" event is rewarded...maybe. Actually, the prize will go to some random person in OS who didn't show up at the party at all! What could be later than that!

I think defining "best" by how late you are isn't as interesting as defining "best" by how you're late.
Get online long before the party starts, but don't go to the party in time. Have a lame excuse. Hang around at another event before you go to the party so you've got witnesses for where you've actually been. Request songs that have already been played. Complain about people leaving early. And then leave during one of the last two songs.

You are suggesting a "Best In Being A Bad Guest" event. That indeed is a bad event idea. However, there are good bad event ideas and there are bad bad event ideas...
