Those of you with Blender should add the Sketchfab addon. It saves steps from hopping from one website to Blender. With the addon is adding a sketchfab library to your Blender desktop. I have been using it to import high heels for my mesh avatars. It has been fun!

Thank you FreyaJo8 for giving me inspiration. In the beginning when first learning to create jewelry I asked about rigging. It was suggested to me at the time to not rig because it gave to many issues like the necklace doesn't lay right but instead flops around unrealistically. So with that I shelved the idea of rigging and did not want the added expense of Avastar. So Freya commented that the rings float and don't lay right, so it prompted me to research again to see what is new with rigging. As it turns out there is a kit for Maitreya with mesh hands that are rigged so it is just a matter of placement of ring on model. I have MS so have a very hard time with dexterity and vision so getting it to place just right is the challenge for me but it is a new year with new goals and this is one. I will work hard at trying to get all "new" rings rigged, just please be patient with me :)

I designed and copyrighted the "Peace for Ukraine" pendant with the intention of it being worn in real life (RL). I've received numerous requests for the STL, DAE, and OBJ files to enable 3D printing and wearable reproduction. To address this, I've dedicated time to enhance Monentes Jewelry Downloads page. @Aloria came by with a special request which I always love a good challenge. On her list was a Locket that could be opened when touched. I created a Love Locket that can be opened by touch thanks to @FerdFrederix tips! I still have some fine-tuning yet to do but it should be out later this week. I created three lockets, Cameo, Celtic Heart, and Love Locket. The image has a texture-changing script so that you can add the images to the contents of the image prim, that way you can select different images. Candy Haven from AMV thank you!! I tested the jewelry with my test avatar, and you are right, there IS an issue with that group gift script. I will remove the script and make the jewelry for sale for 0, giving contents instead. That way you will have a folder in inventory with the jewelry. I apologize to those who tried to obtain that jewelry that did not give. Anytime there is an issue please let me know. I am removing the scripts as we speak :)

About Rigged Jewelry in My Shop

Some visitors have asked about resizing or rigging jewelry to fit their avatars. Here’s how it works:

Rings: My rings are rigged for a standard female hand shape. Often they will also fit men’s avatars, but for a perfect fit I would need to rig the ring to that exact avatar’s mesh. That requires uploading their full avatar to Blender, which most people understandably don’t want to (or don’t know how to) do. Because of the time and complexity involved, I don’t offer custom rigging.

Necklaces & Other Jewelry: Rigging necklaces to avatars isn’t practical. They tend to move in unrealistic ways, “flopping” around the body. Static or unrigged versions usually look better in-world.

Why I Don’t Offer Rigging Services: Every avatar body and hand mesh is different, and keeping up with all of them would be impossible. Rigging each piece individually takes significant time and effort.
