Aphra und Jojo Yes, it's impossible to coordinate the events. And I didn't expect so many people to show up for the kind of music I play. I also had trouble finding DJs who play electronic music (which I also like). I'll continue to hold my events on Sundays, but I don't know yet if it will be a regular thing, after all, I have a real life too :)

Dear Adriana and Jojo, yes of course that happens and events can be very different from what you have planned. For me I also have lots of fun creating places and events, just my financial situation does not allow to pay for musicians more than maybe twice a year... but well, i did events in both worlds when i came from SL to Opensim... I have contacted a few friends there and my favorite DJ agreed for some double streaming... others will follow... not investing money just borrow streams... will try ask Max Kleene, because he plays there twice a day, so well.... i was disappointed the other day, yes, but found a new solution with new concept... and yes, I also do LOVE to do this!

In the end I could not make it. I had invested 25 Euro to invite Max Kleene to Opensim... we did not have a big crowd and if I had known from the Adriana and Adrian Party before, I would have tried to book Max on another day. I can always go to Second Life to listen to Max. Should not waste money for opensim. The competition situation is so crazy right now that is no more fun for me. I like designing clubs and building, decorating and not organising events in competition with former friends.

I am a terminal host, club manager and owner since 2008. It is disappointing when you don't have big crowds but to me, people are important whether we have one person in the club or 50. I work hard too but this is what happens :) There is no possible way for people to schedule around one another. Not in SL, not in Open Sim. We take it as it comes, create places for people to have fun! If we are kind, if we provide great music, people will come back :) The best part is that if you have made one person happy, you are a success!! RL is keeping me from my events but as soon as it calms down, I will be back advertising for them in open sim :) I LOVE it!

I've planned many events with live singers and invested a lot of money, and the events didn't always attract a large audience, even though I based my bookings on other events already listed in the OpenSim event calendar. Unfortunately, I've had the same experiences as you, Aphra, which is also one of the reasons I hardly ever organize events with live singers anymore. I'm sorry that not many people attended your event, but I didn't see yours in the event calendar when I entered my own event. But honestly, if I followed all the events listed, I wouldn't be able to organize any myself, because many people think that having been in OpenSim for years gives them more rights.
