A few days ago I saw an announcement about a racing event on AMV, and I stopped by to check it out... and I was pissed off that I didn't have an F1 car to participate in that type of competition... so I looked at the ones available in my inventory and settled on one that had its name on it: 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 (ubODE v1.0).
I couldn't have chosen better. It's a legendary car that brought Ferrari great trophies, and many will remember the terrible images of Niki Lauda's accident at the Nürburgring in this very vehicle, as reproduced quite accurately in the movie Rush.
The original object is quite decent, but some adjustments have had to be made:
This test track on Neverworld Grid has a track in good condition that allows for a lot of stability for the vehicles compared to others, although its layout isn't ideal for getting the most out of the vehicle as would be the case on an F1 track. I have to test various existing circuits on the Hypergrid and, as in real life, adjust the parameters to achieve a correct simulation for each of them, although in many cases, their construction causes problems for any vehicle and script, especially at high speeds.
Although it seems I'm getting closer to achieving a good simulation, I'm still not satisfied and want to further refine these parameters, as well as include a simulation of ground effect or accidents like the one mentioned above.
