I've set up a Discord server named "What I've Found in OS." Our main aim is to list the places where we can find our preferred brands of stuff. I need help deciding what categories and channels to have. I know that some bodies are hard to find, so having a specific channel for each body brand could be helpful. However, I don't know all the available body types. I know of Athena, Legacy, Reborn, and Ruth and Roth. Please tell me what the others are in OS. Thanks. The three traditional "main" male body families in OpenSim are: Slink Physique Male (Adonis), Signature Gianni (a.k.a. Apollo and Decadence Male) and Belleza Jake (Ares).
As for female bodies, there's also Kupra, but I guess the whole ecosystem is exclusive to only one sim, and I don't recall which.
(Belleza) Freya and Venus exist in OpenSim, too, but I only know one sim that offers clothes for them.
I'm wondering whether it's a good idea to toss the whole Ruth2 family (Ruth 2.0, Ruth2 v4, LuvMyBod etc.) and the whole Roth2 family (Roth 2.0, Roth2 v2 etc.) into one category respectively. Ruth2 v4 is not simply Ruth 2.0 RC#3 with BoM glued on. Ada Radius has modified the mesh so much that Ruth 2.0 RC#2/RC#3 clothing is about as likely to work on Ruth2 v4 as Athena clothing. It's similar for Roth2 v2.
On the other hand, there is no clothing that's rigged for Ruth2 v4, and it's unlikely that there'll ever be any, considering Maxine. So if you have a Ruth2 v4, and you don't want to wear illegal clothing on a legal body you have to make do with Ruth 2.0 RC#3, LuvMyBod, Clutterfly, Damien Fate and lots of self-made alpha masks.

I was hoping you would comment. Thanks for the list. I'm trying to limit the number of categories and channels. I'm going to stick with a Ruth And Roth channel. I'll add your comments about them and people can elaborate in that channel. Thx.

There is the HG (Hourglass) body with a selection of outfit at Grimmm and a few other places. There are also some teen and children bodies though I am not over familiar with those.
One thing I would be interested in is where to find those selections of bodies with the lower complexities as the Legacy and Reborn can be pretty heavy. Someone did make a lighter weight Reborn though I forget who it was and where it is located atm.

Slink Physique Hourglass exists with three "brands" in OpenSim: BBHG, Je'Thai Hourglass (with hardly modified original box art) and Decadence-HG (the only one that was upgraded to BoM). I don't know whether there are significant differences between their meshes, though.
