All - Earthquake in Marrakesh Update 10/09/23
We have moved from our badly damaged home in Marrakesh to the capital Rabat - our power/broadband/telephone is very patchy but I have managed to make contact with Alex (Princess Alex), who will run the ILU side of things with Bobbi Fox, while we assess damage and living arrangements for the family.
Its just been announced over 2000 deaths and hundreds of injured - one close friend hasnt made it but he pulled his parents out of their wrecked family home.
Please pray for us and all those affected by this disaster.
We will see you all soon I hope.

I've created a new group to show solidarity with anti-fascism and opposition to other hate groups and individuals. No heavy deal, you don't have to do anything to show your solidarity other than joining the group, and maybe, if you feel you can, displaying the logo on your region or in your club to show that hate groups and anyone associated with them are not welcome.
Obviously those who want to get a little more involved are more than welcome to do so, such as arranging events with a prominent anti-fascist message, even if it's only displaying the logo on promotional materials, to much more ambitious things such as art displays that highlight the dangers of the extreme-right.
To remove all doubt, fascists and their fellow-travellers, (Trumpists, Faragists, Lepenists etc are not welcome! Prospective members are vetted and are subject to approval, which means it's a safe space for the wary.
This isn't a political group, so you won't be bombarded with ideology, it's simply a group for those of us who share a similar belief, that all humans are worthy. I'll even go so far as to say that members should leave both their politics and their religion at the door, whilst anti-fascism is a political stance, it is one that crosses political boundaries. We don't even have to like each other to show solidarity, a point worth remembering.

Just a heads up. I strive to keep moderation light on comments to group posts, but obviously I will not tolerate intolerance or other comments that seek to denigrate other human beings in any way. Any such comments WILL be removed. Cogent and fair and relevant comment will be respected, even if not agreed with.
To anyone complaining that their rights to free speech have been violated, I point out to you that I am the moderator and it is me who decides what is allowed and what is not. If you wish to express an opinion that is contrary to the values of this group, you are free to do so, somewhere else.
Copies of the logo are available, as is an at present limited range of clothing with an ant--fascist message on it. Please ask me for copies, stating in the case of clothing, what avatar you use. Thank you.

2. head to the Friend's Marina and do some sailing
3.Take an upclose look at the 17 waterfalls pictured here
4.head over to Aquamica to see an amazing underwater world....you could spend hours in this huge build!
5. go to Friends Stables and ride a horse to the satyr farm , and on to the rain forest jungle
6. Take out frustrations at roleplay sim Annihilation.....smashing buildings and shooting zombies
7. Surf and wind surf at Aquamica
8. Explore the Darwin Eco Project
9. try the Yoga at Xinashi
and most importantly.......make a few new friends!

friends-grid is OPEN!
What is friends-grid and the Friends region?
friends—grid is a sailing community (connected regions) that was built by a group of friends in 2023 and is owned by Safine Mahoe. You don’t have to sail, but if you do, you will love it!
Friends are the only thing that is important in Open Sim, nothing else really matters. As Woodrow Wilson said , “Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together.”
The Friends region is the heart of friends-grid. On this region, you will find Friends Stables, multiple satyr farms, trails through the rainforest, a large Marina to assist with your boating needs and the most beautiful waterfalls you will find anywhere!
In addition to the Friends Region, you will also find teleports to : Xinashi región with Oh Hello store, Annihilation role play region, Aquamica region with some of the largest and most detailed underwater worlds, Clearwater II with the Darwin Eco Project and many other regions being developed.
A limited number of free rentals are available, however, we are looking for people who want to be involved in our community, not simply collect free houses on every grid.

Thank you all for your support. There are now six of us and hopefully more will join us over time. I think many are, very understandably wary and don't want to get dragged in to something they don't want to. But as I explained in introductory post on the front page, this group is simply about solidarity; standing together and supporting one another. Some of us will take on the fight, in the happy knowledge that there are others who think similarly.
I've just read the notorious Box on the front page. Apart from Pagane having another melt down, there are comments questioning the need for such a group. I can't be too hard on those people, but really they need to pull their head out of the sand. I don't wish to overstate things, but we are living in very dangerous times, the far-right mainstream political parties who are now gaining ground have been preparing for years, changing their image, softening their message and all the while attempting to persuade people to their cause, always ready to blame the 'illegal immigrant' the single-parent (usually a woman) poor people in general. That's just the start.
At the moment most of the comments in the box are dismissive and a little insulting to me, (I will not engage there) and at least one of them is revealing how well they did at Airhead Academy. That might sound cruel, but that person isn't really stupid (I hope) but they do rather overplay false equivalences and seem utterly incapable of seeing what is happening right in front of their eyes.

Took the Playful Girl out on the water today to do some more tuning. It was great to be able to get the spinnaker up and enjoy the wonderful islands of Friends Grid going passed.
