I am fascinated by the Great Worlds Fairs that started 170 years ago. It is a mystery why most of the buildings were destroyed so quickly. Many questions about the end of that century.

I always had an interest in the World's Fair that happened in Chicago, 1893, called the World's Colombian Exposition, because I can still visit some of the buildings, and because Tesla was a part of this fair.
It seems that they purposely built the buildings out of temporary materials, thus they were all destroyed after the fair ended. The buildings that "survived" in Chicago were torn down then rebuilt out of more permanent materials.
Tesla showed up to demonstrate some of his wireless high frequency lighting.
