Some teleports from OpenSimWorld are a proper trip back in time: the promotional image promises modern design and a wonderful atmosphere — then you arrive and suddenly it feels like 2010 again. 😉
Colourful signs, advertising boards and arrows everywhere, with the same old stuff standing between them year after year. The stylish promotional image starts to feel like a shiny façade hiding a place where very little has changed.
And do clubs really need to be the size of an exhibition hall when around ten people usually turn up? They probably spend the first few minutes trying to find each other.
Why not put a small platform in the sky and create a stylish, welcoming venue there? A smaller club is much quicker to redecorate, too: spooky for Halloween, cosy for autumn, a beach party, or whatever wonderfully wild theme comes to mind. The effort stays manageable, and guests get something fresh to enjoy.
Nobody would need to rebuild an entire region. A small, thoughtfully designed space can create a fantastic atmosphere — and ten guests can actually look like a party.
I appreciate the work and heart that go into OpenSim. But if the invitation has made it into the present, perhaps the venue could start catching up. 😉
