AMV was forced to delete both TdV sims, including backups. To be on the safe side, they also blocked the Marpil Grafenwalder avatar and all alts.
The reason: AMV was DMCA'd by Second Life creator Vae Victis and a law firm. They were forced to remove any and all Vae Victis content. They had 72 hours to comply.
Vae Victis and the law firm also DMCA'd the American branch of Contabo on whose servers AMV runs. If AMV hadn't managed to comply within 72 hours, Contabo would have had to delete the whole grid.
What almost everyone here is absolutely certain that it will never ever happen ... HAS LITERALLY HAPPENED. One of the biggest OpenSim grids was on the brink of being DMCA'd out of existence.
Don't believe? Here's a document maintained by SL creators that documents what was done, and that served to coordinate further steps. It contains step-by-step instructions on how to DMCA OpenSim grids as a SL creator. And it reveals that a few more creators have DMCA'd OpenSim. This is genuine.
