Racing at Raceway Island Speedway

Once a month there are races at the fantastic Raceway Island Speedway... I haven't actually participated in many, but I have tried it out solo several times to test the cars I customize... although I also admit that when I do race, I use stock cars, not the ones I tune.

It's a wide track and doesn't present many problems with standard scripts, which have to use the BulletSim physics engine. It has a good layout for the transition between sectors (something that does happen on some other tracks) and the corners are very easy to navigate, although it might be nice if some of them had a bit of banking. There's no noticeable lag in the sim either, so it's a blast to race there... The races Chris McCracken organizes are run with race control, usually a practice lap followed by a multi-lap race... and well, he always beats me (although I know he's let me win sometimes)... another common participant is Cliff... but that's another story (it's a joke, Cliff)

In short, a track for those who enjoy speed and, if the opportunity arises, racing :) The races are announced as events here on OSW.
