I'm a member of OSGrid, and have been getting really sick and tired of Second Life. No offense to people who still love SL, but it's not what it was back in 2011. All the friends that were made still log on, but nobody speaks. You travel sim, after, sim, after sim, and there's people here and there, and either they don't respond when you offer a greeting, or they give you deadpan answers as if they're annoyed that someone is talking to them in a social world.
This doesn't sit well with me.
I don't find it to be like that on OpenSim at all. Sure, there are people who privately message me sexual things, but I don't really have time for all that right now lol
I hope the maintanence of OSGrid is going well, but I'm not patient, I wanted to do things in OpenSim, so I launched my own grid, and I gotta say the experience remains to be amazing. I don't really have anything there yet so I don't feel a need to blast it on all the socials but if you've ever though, "I wonder if I could setup my own grid?"
Yeah, you can. It's so easy, and it uses almost no resources on a machine??? I'm blown away
