is this even a game? i created my account, now what? where is the download link? client? play button?? this is all so confuse what the hell

This is only a 3rd party info website. OpenSim is not a monolithic, all-made-and-run-by-one-corporation world.
First you need to create an avatar. But you can't do it here. In order to make this easy, go here:

Your avatar will need a forename and a surname.
Next, you need a viewer. A client. An app to install on your computer so you can use OpenSim. The most popular one is Firestorm. You can get it here:

Download the version for OpenSimulator and for your operating system. Do not download the Second Life version!
Next, install Firestorm and launch it. At the bottom, you'll see various fields: one for your full avatar name, one for your password, one that doesn't matter yet, and below, one for the grid (= world) that your avatar is registered on. That last one, set it to OSgrid.

Hello, OpenSimWorld is only a directory for all the opensim grids and regions that exist.
1.): select a grid that allows account creation and that you want to join, a list can be found here https://www.hypergridbusiness.com/statistics/active-grids/
2.): download and install a viewer, as example Firestorm and that can be found here https://www.firestormviewer.org/
3.): start the viewer and select the grid where you have created your account in the dropdown at login, if that grid is not in that dropdown you may have to add it manually in the settings. press Ctrl-P or in the menu Avatar -> Settings. then open tab OpenSim and add that grid. grid urls usually end with port :8002 but that is not always the case
