Yes, he said he was too stressed out.
I can't really blame him. I mean, he had to deliver new content, he had lots of old content to upgrade, he had to compete with ripped SL stuff, and vice versa, I guess he probably still had to combat those who imported his stuff into SL and sold it for a lot of money as their own original creations. The latter may be why not only he stepped down, but he actually closed all his sims and rendered a whole lot of things unavailable.
It's also a pity because he was one of the few who made use of Blinn-Phong maps, in freebies even.
There's still his little shop at Wright Plaza, but it isn't nearly as well-known or well-stocked. Also, Wright Plaza isn't exactly known for fairly modern high-end mesh content, so nobody expects anything like his creations there.
