I really miss riding the Mono Rail that was at Arcadiashop on Osgrid!

The Almost Islands has an extensive monorail system that you can catch a ride on at our OSGrid Destinations Region. It makes several stops at many regions along the 1 hour long route. There are 2 spur lines as well so you can get off at 3 of the stations and catch a different train ride. This has been in operation for several years now and we are always tweaking it. It runs 24/7 except when the regions are automatically rebooted at about 5:30 am grid time each morning, but they are back online within the hour. Come try them out. You don't have to be a member of anything to ride and enjoy the many regions that are there to see. Link below.

I can't remember his name (getting old) but he used to contribute a lot here at one time, we certainly miss him.

And yes, I remember the time when he dropped new content once or several times a month. It's the more remarkable when you look at what an effort he put into each one of his creations, from tricked-out scripting to Blinn-Phong maps where others still only offered flat surfaces or painted-on highlights and shadows.
If he was still active, I bet he would have embraced PBR.

I would try it but I am still running YETI Release. I prefer stability over the dev releases and I am not ready to get rid of mono just yet.

Yes, he said he was too stressed out.
I can't really blame him. I mean, he had to deliver new content, he had lots of old content to upgrade, he had to compete with ripped SL stuff, and vice versa, I guess he probably still had to combat those who imported his stuff into SL and sold it for a lot of money as their own original creations. The latter may be why not only he stepped down, but he actually closed all his sims and rendered a whole lot of things unavailable.
It's also a pity because he was one of the few who made use of Blinn-Phong maps, in freebies even.
There's still his little shop at Wright Plaza, but it isn't nearly as well-known or well-stocked. Also, Wright Plaza isn't exactly known for fairly modern high-end mesh content, so nobody expects anything like his creations there.

Because people always assume OS is the only stealer from SL. There are a lot of gems in Wright Plaza and people underestimate it because it looks at a glance like a mish mash of random freebies.

Also, Wright Plaza is being kept devoid of ripped SL content, and most of what's being offered there is prim/sculpty objects and layer clothes. Two more factors that make it unattractive for those looking for new hot freebies.
Precious few people really appreciate what Wright Plaza has to offer.
