Why promote a closed grid here. Blacklist the place.

Closed grids have no place on OSW. This site is for hypergrid enabled worlds only. Cutting yourself off from the hypergrid is universally stupid. Why in the world would you cut yourself off from THOUSANDS of potential players? That's kind of the point of using Opensim, NO WALLED GARDENS.

Perhaps your region is not working because I can find it but not teleport there as it's not accepting visitors from my world. I sometimes get that when the region I'm trying to go to is down on my grid. If, however, you do not wish visitors, then perhaps turning off the beacon would be a nice thing to do. P.S. I suppose I missed this in your region description "Please note AvatarLife is a close grid so theres no HG, but you can create an account, get a land for free and claim your free horses."

Breedables Haven't Finally Landed in Opensim!

hmmm Shame i would like to see it ..but i cant go there !!!! why advertise it on opensim world .if it isnt for all of opensim?? If its Private shut your beacon Down
or write it clearly in your region description that it is private!!!

What's happening here is blatant loophole abuse. Plain as that.

Avatar Life is a grid based somewhere in East Asia. It actually offers in-world gambling for a currency that can be exchanged with real-life money, and where it is located, this seems to be perfectly legal, even without being licensed as a bank.

Avatar Life does not present itself as an OpenSim grid, but rather as a stand-alone, commercial virtual world in direct competition with Second Life (hence the Second Life rip-off grid name) and everything else that has slapped "metaverse" onto itself.

This grid relies on having as many residents as possible. Hence, if you want to get in, you need a local avatar on Avatar Life.

But Avatar Life is not disconnected from the Hypergrid. The owners don't want to exclude themselves from the Hypergrid. They want to pick up all the best freebies ripped from Second Life without having to rip them, import them and put them back together themselves.

Thus, Avatar Life is connected to the Hypergrid, but only out-bound. This means that Avatar Life residents are free to roam (almost) the entire Hypergrid and take back home with them whatever they want, but everyone else is not allowed in.

At the same time, Avatar Life aggressively advertises in the Hypergrid, especially at the annual OpenSimFest. There, just like here on OSW, they only mention in the fine print that an avatar on their grid is required to visit it, if at all. The scheme is to whet people's appetites, and when they really, really, really want to come visit Avatar Life, they're told, "You have to create a local avatar on Avatar Life to visit Avatar Life," at which point they're expected to be so eager to go visit Avatar Life that they give in and actually make an avatar there.

Now, the loophole abuse is in this sentence under Help:

"If your region is not open to the hypergrid, or if it limits access to specific grids, or (worse) if you sell access to your grid, you cannot list it in OpenSimWorld. "

The trick is that this line is explicitly about specific region settings. If taken literally, it might be null and void if the whole grid doesn't grant in-bound Hypergrid access while the individual sims have no specific Hypergrid access settings.

However, I should note that this line was formulated as a reaction upon Sacrarium's closing-off of their in-bound Hypergrid access which led to Sacrarium becoming the first and so far only grid that's banned from OSW entirely.

Please note AvatarLife is a close grid so theres no HG, but you can create an account, get a land for free and claim your free horses. That it tells and yes it is shame lol

I can't even have a look around, I am not going to be creating an account on Avatarlife just to be able to have a walk around the Breedable sim, but I wish you all the best on your new venture!

i can not get here says denied because the grid i am on doesn't have access???? is your grid a closed grid ?? if so and the breedables market your opening is only for your grid why advertise it on opensim world .if it isnt for all of opensim ,,, kinda doesnt make sense !! and such a shame that no one can get there from our other grids to at least see them.

Upon reading through the entire advertisement, I discovered that purchasing items requires joining your grid, which does not align with my preferences. It appears that you might operate on a different system than the traditional OpenSim environment.

Regardless, I believe that advertising a closed grid in this space is inappropriate. I found the advertisement to be a waste of my time.

Wonder how long, and how many posts, it needs until the last one "smarty" understood that this is a closed grid. Violating OSW TOS by not flagging it private OMG

So which grids do you allow on your grid?? Can't give a good review if I can't visit.

Looks interesting but considering its not accessible by my grid i wont be able to visit. The comments suggest that no grid will be able to enter.

you need to register at the webpage as its a closed grid you need to use avatar of this grid. than you can join inworld land.
go shop, visit events and there are premium memberships to get more land than the free one.
you can have breedable horses there at the moment. i heared more is to come.
what i seen so far it looks realy nice. have a look the creation of the avatar is free so you dont loose anything when you join.

yeah just to confirm Wolf Territories Grid is blocked as well.
