If you recently updated to the latest Firestorm Viewer 7.2.4.80712 and you're suddenly getting spammed by an annoying popup error saying: “Could not add to the grid list. server didn't provide grid info: 0” while you're online, here is the official explanation and the proper way to fix it!
The Firestorm development team has already identified and fixed this bug for the upcoming releases. Here is a breakdown of what causes it and how to resolve it right now.
The issue occurs when the viewer reads your local history logs from your disk. If you have previously visited or typed locations belonging to a third-party grid that is currently offline or down, the viewer fails to fetch its data during startup and mistakenly triggers the manual grid setup error dialog on your screen.
The developer has already patched this in the source code so that these background checks for temporary/stored grids fail silently without spamming the user.

If you want to keep using your current viewer version without popups, do NOT freeze your grids.user.xml file (as it can cause other configuration issues). Instead, follow these steps to clean your history files:
