I used Luna’s cemetery pieces for the center of my Halloween display last year. The pieces are extremely detailed and will add the spooky feeling to a build.

Cheryl, these are your exact words: " the big problem is that we have no skilled creators here." The anger in me is boiling over...because I happen to know many skilled creators......Luna, Elin, Ellen, Tenbears, Felix, Lone wolf, Symi, Sorabis and countless others. Please choose your words more carefully. Open Sim has talent......unfortunately you choose not to see it. Have a blessed day!

There's no arguing with Little Miss Know-It-All who, after four months in OpenSim, trusts her gut feelings more than hard facts presented to her by people who have been around for years.
A while ago, she knew for a fact that there is exactly zero content being created in OpenSim, and absolutely everything in OpenSim was stolen from SL. I tried to tell her several times. I actually told her names and gave her taxis to actual in-world places where she could see legal content made in OpenSim for OpenSim by OpenSim users with her own very eyes. Either she still refuses to accept that and still takes her gut feelings more seriously than hard facts from someone who has been in OpenSim for more than 10 times as long as her.
Or to her "skilled creators" starts with the few very best creators in SL who are literal professionals and have been creating as a 9-to-5 job for a living for years. And she wants stuff on the same quality level and in the same quantities in OpenSim, but free and full-perm.
Either she has never even heard of Luna Lunaria. Or she laughs at Luna and demands nothing less than buildings on the same quality level as SL buildings for L$50,000, but free and full-perm.

The greatest weakness of OS is the mentality of those who feel "everything must be free in open sim". Most things in Open sim are free........and this is a blessing compared to Second life prices. However, skilled creators should never be shunned upon because entitled people think they deserve everything free. Be thankful for the things you get for free.....and be willing to pay a little for some other special things. I personally own many of Luna's items....I paid full price for them and I do not regret it because I have the best.

I am a customer who has purchased more things than I can count from Luna….and never regretted spending my money on her quality products.
I appreciate creators who make things for sale and I appreciate creators who make things for free!

This is a subject I have felt strongly about for a very long time. In my opinion, the greatest thing in opensim for many people is the fact that everything is free. This, in my opinion, is also the greatest danger of open sim.
Although many will hate me for these comments, I am totally opposed to the everything should be free mentality. I enjoy finding some things for free, but I have purchased extensively from kitely market.
If some people wish to share things for free, that is their choice; however, we should also respect the work that goes in to building things by the creators.
To say “everything should be free in open sim” is an insult to every creator and landowner who has put time and money into things for you.
I have many memories of sl costs, and I never want to see them again. This does not mean we have to promote and endorse “everything must be free.”
Like Lone Wolf, I too pay server costs. I want regions without lag…..so the option is paying for a powerful server. I have chosen to not charge rent on my small parcels. That does not mean I am right Or Lone wolf is wrong or Vice versa. We are both right and we are doing what works for us.
The problem is with the “everything should be free mentality.”
No….everything should not be free in opensim.
Be thankful for the things you get for free…..but be willing to pay a little to some creators or landowners.
On a similar note…..imagine if OSG charged $5 month. Many people would be horrified and leave, but imagine if only 20% of active users stayed. That would be approximately 1000 users providing $5k a month or $60k a year. Although that is very little money, it would have helped.
Osg is awesome…… but the free mentality has hurt it…..especially when it needed to do upgrades this last year.
In closing, my thoughts are simply “ everything should not be free”. I would challenge people to change this thinking to “life is affordable in open sim.”
Let’s support creators, grids and property owners. At the same time, let’s remember to say “thank you “ to people who have chosen to not charge.

Today I went and visited a region called Xinashi. I did not really know what to expect....and I had never met the owner, Nico. The best way I can describe this place is a breath of fresh air. I am totally in love with the yoga area....and will certainly visit again. Xinashi is the perfect place to meditate....chill out...and get in touch with yourself . The treehouse area is nicely laid out and such creativity in the houses! As for the owner, Nico....I would give her 10 stars on making guests feel welcome. It's time to go visit Xinashi....and de-stress a little!

The Beach at Hidden Dreams offers 3 different Surfing waves, 3 styles of boards, 5 types of surfing kayaks, 2 windsurfers and bodysurfing. The waves are random....to provide challenges to the riders. hg.osgrid.org:80:Hidden Dreams
