Fairhaven is an historically informed Tudor market town exploring the social, economic, and cultural changes transforming England, Europe, and the wider world during the sixteenth century. Through its streets, workshops, and landscapes, Fairhaven traces the transition from medieval life to the Renaissance and early modern age.
We are currently building the mudflats and tidal moors that Somerset is so famous for, researching the historic ecology of marginal land and the economic forces that pushed people to those areas.
