I'm reading a lot of whining about "banning" oh how dare they?? ::gasp:: Listen, sweetheart, people have the right to ban whomever they wish for whatever reason they wish whether we like it or not - their grid or region, their rules their choice. I think it's a bit extreme, however, I have on occasions for personal reasons banned certain individuals because they have done their best to destroy my work or reputation, and we all know that people are generally inclined to believe the bad stories about someone rather than the good. I do not, as a rule, ban anybody who doesn't truly have it coming or who has not "requested" that I ban them, which has happened because I would not run my grid they way they wanted me to. I'd like to believe that everyone in open sim is adult, however that's a little like believing ice won't melt over a fire. I have met very few people in open sim that I dislike and then it is not the person I dislike so much as what they have done or said, but they are not banned nor will they be unless they earn it. I'm not going to name names and point fingers as that is "high school kid" stuff done by immature tattle tales who will go out of their way to make other's look bad...now days, I think they call them "Karens". So why don't we all just put on our "grown up" pants and panties and act like adults? Build, roleplay, dance, sing, create, design and develop and quit bitching about stuff that doesn't mean a hill of beans in the long run because the truth is, nobody cares if you've been banned. I do my best not to give anyone a reason to ban me but if you feel it's necessary for your own sanity, then by all means...have at it, I assure you it will not diminish me to the people who matter. You see the people who matter won't mind and the people who mind.....don't matter. Have a lovely day.

The newest addition to our Mall is being installed...the Le Beau Retrouvè Art Gallery which is designed and built by our very own Star Ravenhurst! All of our art displays including sculptures, paintings, photography will be overseen by Star. More to come when it's completed and open for visiting!

Building For Beginners - Classes for our Grid members and those who join the building group, are every Sunday (except holidays) at 3:30pm Pacific (grid) time. These classes are offered in the hopes of encouraging people to create their own content for their regions. There is so much creativity in Open Sim, so let's bring it to the surface. See ya there!

As we approach Memorial Day, I would like to offer to you, the chance for a personalized remembrance of your loved one in the form of one of our beautiful memorials which will be placed in our Haven of Memories for you to visit any time you wish. There is no charge for these memorials, and you receive your own copy of it which will be full perm for you. The latest of my builds now on display at the mall, the sales box is in front of the house and it is open to all to explore the house inside and out. It does have unlinked doors so if you get it be sure to set it out in edit and keep it in edit until it's positioned. We had an absolutely AWESOME grand opening thanks to all of our friends who turned out and celebrated with us!! Thanks to Unadecal Masala of Masala Estates for a smoothly operating grid and server, Metal Tango of the Plymouth RP Group for totally awesome rock'n tunes, and Star Ravenhurst for building such an awesome region for us all to enjoy. We hope to see all of our friends and bring your friends as well to enjoy this beautifully done region. Also this region will be the second feature this coming Wednesday, April 12th, on the HG Safari Tour - so pop in to HG Safari and join in on the fun of exploring regions all over open sim!! Okay finally we're back up and working for however long it lasts LOL. The lay out is different but I honestly think it is aesthetically comforting. This memorial is for little "Gracie". If you want to shed a few tears while you're building something, just do a memorial for a baby. This precious little buddy was just a year old plus a few days, when she crossed over and her Grandmother asked me to do a memorial for her. This was not an avatar, this was a real life granddaughter and I can't begin to imagine the depth of the loss felt by the family. I hope this helps bring them some comfort and peace. A friend visited the Haven of Memories and in our discussion she said she missed her fur baby. I immediately thought it would be a good thing to offer a place for folks to remember their fur babies that have crossed the rainbow bridge. So Haven of Memories now has a "Pet Memorial Section" to pay tribute to our beloved furry, feathered and even scaled babies. Well things are pretty much back to normal at the Haven and it's open to anybody who would like to visit there. Check out our grid, the Genesis Role Play Grid. We offer structured role play at it's finest and as a role player you can take on multiple characters as you show you can handle it. The story line is already defined, so a part in it is much like being cast in a movie and our director is Metal Tango. We've recently relaxed the Plymouth Crucible so people can visit and see what the story and RP is all about. I can tell you there is nothing I like more than a long running story line that has a good story to tell. It includes vampires, witches, werewolves and more but not in any traditional sense and nobody is a "superhero", nobody is "indestructible" - isn't that a neat idea, villains and heroes with weaknesses and faults. Come to the Plymouth Crucible and check it out but, be aware there is a maze you must get through to get to the town and it's tricky, one wrong answer and...... " grid.genesis-roleplay.org:8002:Plymouth Crucible " be a part of a powerful growing story line.

Our beautiful Star Jinn Palisade Mall! It's not got as much as we'd like, but very nearly all of what you see on display are our original builds created with the open sim community in mind. Come and visit and explore a mall with a unique touch and design - all outdoor except the specialty shops. Our featured shops are GramZ's Country Creations, Star Ravenhurst Designs (She has a specialty shop and large section of buildings that are a must see), Fall's For You specialty shop of unique avatars, youth avatars and clothing, cleaned up and presented by our own Dusty Falls. Buildings that are "Thor" built and much more. It's best to explore the entire mall (region) rather than just stand at the welcome point and cam. My own little shop in the Star Jinn Palisade Mall features a full kitchen set with working dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, sink with water off and on. The fridge gives glasses of cold water though I may need to upgrade the script so it animates the avatar to drink the water.... :D. You'll find complete living room suits, lamps and even a complete set of dishes for on the dinner table. The Dinette set chairs have sits though no animation to eat, I'm sure eventually I'll get around to that. Our Patio & Deck Furniture n Décor section features our original builds including patio/beach/deck tables with umbrellas and chairs, fountains and the tree bench. We will be adding much more as time goes by and there are plenty of shops in our mall to explore. Our Building Supplies department at the Star Jinn Palisade Mall! We have regular doors, sliding doors, interior and exterior doors, screen doors and doors with windows. We have stone wall sections both straight and curved and windows of various kinds, regular, fancy and bay windows. There are various door frames, fancy, modern, fantasy and arched and we even have a fancy mesh elven arch. We also have various pillar styles that you might like. New adventure for me making dishes and cutlery. Here we have my spring violet table set and everything is modifiable, copyable, transferrable. This is a pretty complete set but you have to see it to appreciate it. You can find it in my little shop at the Mall. A friend asked me if I had a tree bench, you know the kind that circles a tree so you can relax in the shade? Well no I didn't have one so I built one, complete with sits enough for 8 people. This Fantasy Manor is beautifully done and very detailed. It's based on the four seasons and includes a large courtyard ripe for decorating to your likes. The inside has a beautifully designed and detailed fireplace and large kitchen area and plenty of room on the next 3 floors up for whatever your heart desires including a room already textured for a bathroom. This Fantasy Castle Manor would be a great addition to any medieval or fantasy sim. An Open Sim original build by one of many talented builders on the genesis roleplay grid. Well I'm finally able to get on again but it's sketchy! Graphics are still really messed up at times, but after a clean install of an older version of Firestorm, it appears to be partially cooperating. This means I can get back to building at least and so, to celebrate, I've made this "Heart Bed" since Valentine's day is coming up. It's not scripted "yet" but will be eventually. However if you'd like to get a copy and script it to your liking, you can find it at the Star Jinn Palisade Mall in our Masala Al Kohav region. I won't be on much or building much for a while my graphics card is having a stroke and in the process of dying. Working on getting a new one but not an easy process on a fixed income. Hope to see you all soon as I can.

My first feeble attempt at making a bed. I need to find the sleep pose ball for it and it'll be ready to go. Hopefully I'll learn to do more and nicer things. On the brighter side!! Wicker Globe Ceiling Lights for anywhere in your house. They are totally copiable, modifiable and transferable for the next owner. Just touch the attached light switch and you have high, medium and low light settings, the 4th touch turns them off. The light switch can be manipulated in "edit select" to be on any wall you like it. Once you have it the way you want it simply touch and enjoy the warmth of the light. Blessings and much love, Lavia
