Election season is near and Miser wants to take control of the Greedy Creek swamp in order to get one over on Ms Chopsy! If only he could convince everyone that Helga is nothing more than a silly old hag who's lost her mind. Unbeknownst to Miser but known to us: Helga is 'The Architect' :: behind the scenes all along, it has been HER who has been pulling the strings and spinning the tides of Chaos! Don't bother voting, the machines were already rigged. Who won the election? YOU DID by taking a mild peek at this element of the absurd! Peace & Love!
The Ultimate Scavenger Hunt is now at Dismayland.
Every fountain in the PARK thinks it is the REAL Fountain of Youth.
One of them has distinctly different behavior or a lack thereof.
The wishing well is the universal pedagogy of pain and is excluded.

The only thing you will not find at Dismayland is BOREDOME. Everywhere you go, there are curious things to attract and distract. RIDES to shake you and GAMES to BREAK you. You've never experienced a chaotic holiday like this.

The 'System Avatar' requirement has been permanently dropped; it was a fun little inconvenience during the BETA TEST. The Park Ranger is a little more lenient but all restrictions are still handled autonomously.

By the way: it is SPRING at Dismayland... so we decided to drop some SPRINGS along the boardwalk! It is a great way to see the sights from above but be aware the landing packs quite a punch...

I told Dirty Helga we needed MORE LOVE in Dismayland. This is what she came up with! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!

I always wondered what the park would look like with some atmospherics. This shows a newly created 'late-night' shared environment which has a better visual appearance than 'Midnight'. A mesh dome used for the clouds. EEP and a handful of phantom prims fill out the rest. @Jimmy Olsen would love this one, methinks. =D

The rides BREAK, the games are RIGGED, the food is LOUSY and the service is even WORSE. Apparently these WARNINGS are not enough to keep people away. Have a Dismay Day!

Even more fun for the weekend. Pardon my mess as I am taking everything off 'Full Bright at night" and doing some PROPER lighting for a change. Who knew Opensim is capable of interesting texture effects without PBR!?

What is a Fun Fair without GAMES? Dismayland has more GAMES and intrigue than any other theme park in the Metaverse. Why? Because QUANTITY is NOT QUALITY unless Dirty Helga is involved. Dammit! She Broke the RIDES and now she RIGGED all of the games. Your old Favorites like "Dodge the Bullets", "Telepathic balloon pop" and "Russian Roulette" have a new brain powering them and that mind is full of ROT! Come on down and WIN ! We installed more Redelivery Terminals in THE EMBASSY to handle your winnings!

A NEW PHASE IN DEVELOPMENT

So many changes have been made to Dismayland that we needed a NEW MAP! We would love to post more pictures but Management has advised us that "evidence" is a liability. What we CAN tell you is that several new attractions have been added, at least two of them are survivable, and the AFTERLIFE gift shop now stocks items you didn't know you needed and still don't.

Chaos Engine has been installed, tested, and validated across all ride systems. Survivability metrics remain proprietary. The unstoppable and utterly shameless Dale and Marvin Pigeon are the purveyors of secrets, which can be easily coaxed out of them if you just stick around and LISTEN.

Wow.. a lot of time was spent on this. All RIDES have new engines to power them. New Attractions and SOMETHING ELSE: A Strange FOG has settled on Greedy Creek. The DIM inhabitants are becoming sentient. Experience the thrill, the drama and corruption in a multi-layered story arc. This is MORE than a theme park, it is a living Virtual Novel.
CHAOS ENGINE: I made a drop in replacement for the coaster code in the script area which not only improves keyframe playback but also syncs with other vehicles (See our 'Scrambler' type ride Dizzy Wizzy). Thanks to all who have dropped in and given feedback, IMAGE is not the same game engine it was a couple of days ago. Now we are starting to have a polished gaming framework. We have a new tracing weapon and spatial audio which will work with most finicky viewers and their permission requests. This thing has lots of features and lots of fun. Beta testers get a nice perk for beating the hell out of IMAGE, so bring your army and fight off the grugs! GRUG ASSAULT — Public BETA

Try a new drop-in action game for your grid.

Unlike most game systems that require you to rebuild your region around them, IMAGE is designed to work around you. GRUG ASSAULT is the public test platform for the IMAGE Matrix Action Game Engine — a deliberately aggressive deployment intended to prove the engine under real conditions before IMAGE takes up permanent residence at Dismayland Theme Park.

Each game mode in GRUG ASSAULT runs with its own custom music set, arena-styled audio routing, and purpose-built sound effects. This is not background noise or looping chaos. The region participates. The engine coordinates behavior, sound, and escalation so what players hear and feel directly reflects what is happening in the arena.

Before the IMAGE framework is released under a Creative Commons license, it needs real results: real stress and real breakage. If you’re curious, come in, push it hard, and see what fails. If it survives you, it earns its place — and so do you.

The IMAGE portal at Atrius Station Landing will take you directly to the Arena.
For convenience, a BETA PRIM nearby will DM you a live summary of everything currently being tested in the build. Adjacent to it is a KNOWN ISSUES board outlining active investigations and unresolved behavior.

BETA Incentive: To reward meaningful testing, the top five BETA participants will receive a complete, fully functional IMAGE Gaming System. To participate: Click my picture on the board to message me. This is the only accepted channel for BETA communications

Following the example set by Gimisa, everyone else will receive IMAGE as a tutorial on RELEASE day. You’ll be taken to a sandbox and guided through a complete crash course — from bullet logic, to weapons, to assembling an entire action engine. This kind of knowledge-sharing matters, and I wish more creators did it.

IMAGE is a framework developed by a digital artist using a sophisticated code analysis and reasoning platform.
