I do not claim to be an expert, but my opinion is this. A few people are ego driven and want top ten ranking at all costs. I really do not care if a place is ranked #1 or #1,000 when I visit.

I think a much larger group of people is trying to attract people by making it seem like there is a crowd at their region. In open sim, we often like to go where there are people. In this case, you might teleport to a region with 6 people showing; just to find out they are all bots or afk .

It is not coincidence when it happens every single day. Many region owners are inflating numbers either for top ten bragging or to make it appear there is a crowd.

The ranking and the avi numbers in osw are totally worthless because of people trying to scam the system.

I would like to see osw get rid of both of these numbers. If you have 10 people at a dance and want everyone to know, make a post showing all them. Sure, your post could have a picture of bots, but the scammers would have to work much harder and the would not be able to make posts every hour.

I do not agree with Pagane on many topics, but on this topic she is correct. She may not have handled it correctly, but she is correct that osw TOS are being badly abused by some of the top ranking region owners. They make extensive use of bots to inflate ranking or events.

I am praying that osw will throw out all numbers…..live and ranking. That would be a major step in the right direction. I understand people love the live numbers, but if they are 50% fake at many top regions, what good are they?

No…..you can use avi from wherever you want.

One thing I will mention, with the iar transfer that we did on me…….I did not have to make new body, I logged in and was all set up. I will need to save outfits again, but that is gradual.

I have mixed feelings about the mandatory new account subject and I know most places require that for land or house.

I have decided to let individuals make that decision.

this is partially correct.....if making avi...I will sell land....if not making avi, I will set to group. I am still trying to get group settings finalized......need my group expert for that....but soon all will be rezzing at their homes.

I am pretty tired, got 2 hours of sleep last night…..but this project is going well!

also, if you try to go to aviworlds friends region, it may be down for the day while this transfer is being set up. it will be back up for at least a week before this transition is finalized.

fyi.....right now one of the "glitches" we are dealing with is the need for a monetary system. I have refused to have any money systems in the past...dont want them. This morning I tried to make friends-grid group. the screen asks if I want to make a new group for $0, but then refuses to allow me to make it because I am not monetized. Right now, nothing can be sold for $0. We are still working on this ...they told me it was not possible....and I told them I had it on my previous grid. It is a learning experience.

I do not share every headache with you all...but this one I wanted to. If we cannot fix this glitch, I will monetize the grid. It is not a big deal. However, if monetized, I want you to know that that changes nothing from the way things have been. I will not charge rent....I do not want stores that charge money. more updates soon
