Yes, you can actually get lost here, so big is this sim.

And it has a lot to offer. What Chris wrote is not an understatement as Juno found out during her recent visit, and she hasn't even seen half of Illusions. There are beaches aplenty, even beaches that can be used as such; some actually have swim rezzers. The spa shouldn't leave much to be desired; it even offers things you wouldn't expect at a spa, but you might appreciate them.

Travelling around the sim can be done the convenient way by teleport boards which come as maps with clickable dots on them, and they even tell you where you are. Eat your heart out, Nebadon Izumi... That said, the advanced, immersive way is by boating, and you can get lost that way if you don't pay attention. Illusions takes boat rezzers to a new level: All vehicle rezzers are vehicles themselves. And as far as boating goes, this starts with jetskis and ends with a rezzer for the famous ghost ship Mary Celeste which you can sail here, cumbersome as it may be. Granted, the Mary Celeste might not be equipped with SFsail... By the way: It's hard to get stuck on an island. There's always at least one boat rezzer that you can walk to.

Good advice: Dress for getting wet, especially if you want to explore the sim on the water. Some boats de-rez and drop you into the water the instance you stand up from them, and you shouldn't expect to stay dry on a jetski. I guess it's warm, and this is largely a beach sim, so I suggest swimwear. The sim is Adult-rated, but I'm not sure if clothes are mandatory; I guess in at least some spots they aren't. If you don't like wearing wet and clingy swimwear, bring some spares so you can change. Also, large parts of the sim are sandy, so you can and should go barefoot instead of on 2-inch plateaus with 6-inch spike heels, but you may want to bring flat sandals along just in case.
