I wish I could give a fuller account of my experience on the GBG UNWelcome area, however I had to cut my visit short... which brings me to the heart of this review.

On arrival, my attention was drawn to some games they have there. I'm always interested in things to DO in-world, rather than simply LOOK AT. So, naturally enough, I tried one of them to see if it actually worked or was just one of the fake, decorative-only games you see around. I mean, that IS the point of having games in a so-called 'Welcome' area, right? Well, I STILL don't know whether they are real or not, since at that moment the Ever-Vigilant Alice GBG apparently took that as my effort to loot the sim of all of all its treasures and non-functional games.

I HAD gotten a greeting ..of sorts ..from her on arrival. If a run together sentence of "welcome are you adult" counts as a greeting rather than an interrogation. She COULD have followed that up with 'Hi, Allie!! How are YOU today?' Ummmm …. but no. Or maybe "Nice weather we are having today, isn't it?" But... no, again. Or maybe just ..nothing at all!! I'm ok with THAT too. In all fairness, *I* hadn't said hello to her either. In my travels to random sims, my experience has been that there's usually no one around to begin with or, if there IS, it's an NPC. I always feel a bit sheepish after discovering I've just said 'HOWDY' to an npc, and glance around to make sure no one SAW me do it!! So my practice has become, as a visitor, to not speak until SPOKEN to.

But I WASN'T ready for what I DID hear …just a terse out-of-the-blue "this stuff is all protected for taking copys". HUH? I mean ..where did THAT come from and what should one INFER she had on her mind? So after a brief exchange of 'pleasantries', I decided it was better to LEAVE under on my own power than be booted.. which I surely WOULD have been had I said what was truly on my mind.

So anyway, all in all, I guess the region seems ok. A nice selection of games.. PROVIDING you can get them to work before Alice hustles you along. But the personnel? Eh, not so much.
