My sweet elderly neighbor had a long visit with me. She talked about her life and things She has done. She used to work for MTV in New York and met a lot of famous people. But She is very wise and a great friend. Today She told me that when you feel like things are getting to you just to remember, it's up to you if you let them. You don't have to. You never have to give in to bad people or even get upset by them. So when people on the internet make you angry, it's b/c you choose to let them. You read what they wrote and decided to have that particular reaction to their typed writing. You don't have to do that. It's like Dr. Wayne Dyer says, "Some people have a remote control on their shirt sleeve, they are having a great day or whatever, and someone comes in and takes the remote and pushes their buttons. Someone else controls them. Where previously they were happy and having a great day, now they are angry and upset. So don't let people take your control."

Tribute Hour returns to Club Equinox
This Saturday, Sept 28, 4pm to 6pm GT.

The time has come. Megadeth comes to Club Equinox, at least their music.
Megadeth and Ozzy are tied as my overall favorite music artists, and I have not yet played Megadeth.
This Saturday, September 28th, I will spin two hours of Megadeth tunes. My favorite songs from across about six albums. This Tribute Hour will begin, as always, at 4pm and will end around 6pm, grid time (SLT).

Today, I’ll focus on some classic films.

La Cage aux Folles. This 1978 film “inspired a major Broadway musical and the blockbuster remake The Birdcage. But with its hilarious performances and ahead-of-its-time social message, there’s nothing like the audacious, dazzling original movie.”
The film is part of the Criterion Collection, a continuing series of important classic and contemporary films. To see the films in the collection, you can stream it on Criterion Channel with a paid subscription, or see them free on Kanopy.

The Boys in the Band is a 1970’s drama that is among the early major American motion pictures to revolve around gay characters, often cited as a milestone in the history of gay cinema, and thought to be the first mainstream American film to use the swear word "cunt". (Netflix did a new adaption in 2020).

Rent. The 2005 movie adaptation of the critically acclaimed drama/musical that was one the longest-running shows on Broadway.
