This is similar to how HD was set up.......could a person drop in there....yes......did they.....rarely. I do not favor ban lines for every parcel we have, but I am considering all options. I am not as bothered having ban lines on a border as all over in the middle of a region. Hidden Dreams did not use ban lines , and so I am a little confused on this subject.

ok....I think there is some confusion. This question was about Friends and Friends II regions....not your personal project regions. Friends region is the area with home islands.....and Friends II is the region directly east that is mostly undeveloped on land. Yes people could possibly wander from these to your projects.....although most people use tp boards on large areas like ours. Please realize , if this was done.....your projects are not put on tp board until you ask. Beacons on Friends and Friends II have little or nothing to do with your project areas.
There is a easy answer if 100% opposed to anyone possibly wandering on your project.....ban lanes. The projects are all aligned on the south border of the grid.....and the ban lines would not affect things at all there. It could be easily set so that group members had access, non group did not. I am still not sure how I feel......but I wanted to have a discussion about it....and realized both responses are talking about something very different than me. Your regions are yours to build , manage and decide when or if you wish to open to others. This conversation is not about your project regions.......it was only referring to Friends and Friends II.

I have been watching videos on this movie......well....doesnt have any tanks or helicopters....my mistake....I had no idea! it does have lots of shooting. some had crossbows...some had guns on cars. By the way....your tank truck is exactly like the clip I just watched....they were climbing up the side of a tank truck! Nice work recreating this my friend!

This is how bots should be used. They are fun, interesting and not inflating the traffic count.

I do not claim to be an expert, but my opinion is this. A few people are ego driven and want top ten ranking at all costs. I really do not care if a place is ranked #1 or #1,000 when I visit.

I think a much larger group of people is trying to attract people by making it seem like there is a crowd at their region. In open sim, we often like to go where there are people. In this case, you might teleport to a region with 6 people showing; just to find out they are all bots or afk .

It is not coincidence when it happens every single day. Many region owners are inflating numbers either for top ten bragging or to make it appear there is a crowd.

The ranking and the avi numbers in osw are totally worthless because of people trying to scam the system.

I would like to see osw get rid of both of these numbers. If you have 10 people at a dance and want everyone to know, make a post showing all them. Sure, your post could have a picture of bots, but the scammers would have to work much harder and the would not be able to make posts every hour.

I do not agree with Pagane on many topics, but on this topic she is correct. She may not have handled it correctly, but she is correct that osw TOS are being badly abused by some of the top ranking region owners. They make extensive use of bots to inflate ranking or events.

I am praying that osw will throw out all numbers…..live and ranking. That would be a major step in the right direction. I understand people love the live numbers, but if they are 50% fake at many top regions, what good are they?
