I just caught up with the craziness about Lone stealing a floor from Marianna. Looks like she saw my post yesterday about our first monthly social with a picture of my Lotus Club on Luxor. it has a big circular dance floor with a blue arcane texture. I guess she assumed Lone stole that idea the day before yesterday's event and added to his Social region (which doesn't exist). That picture was from my Gala 6 months ago at the Lotus Club and which I built on Luxor a year ago. I have that same exact texture on one of my hypergates at Luxor. I have used that texture for years. I love arcane textures, especially on floors and ceilings - I have them on a floor in Castle Ceridwen and in my main store in the Magic and Mysteries room.

A 100% legal, non copybotted , creator made mesh head. Boxed as an avatar base...shape, skin, eyes, head, courtesy Ruth RC3 made BOM. The skins I used a template for in part, according to the creator's license it cannot be transfer-sorry about that. You can of course use any skin or shape you want. Responds to bento animations such as smiling and blinking. No mesh eyes or AO included.

These heads I made from 2019 to 2021- I put a couple up an SL. They were intended as a low ARC, "Wear and go" solution without huds and scripts. I made them first for my partner who just HATES most huds. I sold them for about 400L each. People liked them but I got a lot of bizarre comments like "yeah it's really beautiful and good but I have to stay loyal to Catwa even though I like them a lot"... since opensim people seem more capable of not letting brand loyalty totally dictate their interests, they are better fitted here.
Don't sell, don't tell people you made the mesh, don't put it on SL . Please don't god mod the skin, I legitimately cannot give it transfer, if you need it for your alts bring them all in or message me and I'll just give it to you.

3rd Rock Grid slated for closure May 15 2024
I am very sad to announce what seems to be the inevitable closure of the historical 3RD Rock Grid in OpenSim. I say historical because it is notable as being the 3rd official OpenSim grid to open for business many,many years ago. I joined 3RD Rock in early 2011, shortly after it opening and have been calling it my virtual home away from home since then. Due to a recent series of cascading events our servers are inaccessible by our Adim team, below I will post a portion of my transcript copied during our last community meeting date March 23 2024.

[13:12] Eldovar Lamilton: As all of you have noticed of the past one and a half years, fate has hit us hard during the past time.
[13:13] Eldovar Lamilton: 1. It all started when we lost our system administrator from one day to the other without any further notice. We were left without access and documentation to the grid, and the person refused any further contact. To the day we have no idea why he reacted as he did, because from our perspective there was no reason at all to do so, our relationship seemed good, he received much more than the money he requested for the work he did.
[13:14] Eldovar Lamilton: It took us a long time to get access to the servers again. And the biggest problem that remained was, that he had rewritten (and improved) a few core parts of the Opensim software, but other than agreed, he never gave us the source code of those program parts.
[13:15] Eldovar Lamilton: 2. In October last year we lost one of our most important servers: the one that was running the Starfleet regions and many more important regions, we call it server 107. Kira Tiponi worked hard to get that server replaced and managed to restore all the regions that were there and finally, at the beginning of January this year, she succeeded. The plan was, that she shows nme everything she has done and gives me full access to the new server 107 at the beginning of February this year.
[13:16] Eldovar Lamilton: 3. In January, we got the sad message, that Kira has passed away. She did not have time to pass over all the information that she had and that was necessary to access the new server.
[13:16] Eldovar Lamilton: This was the final stroke to the grid as well.
[13:17] Eldovar Lamilton: Despite all our efforts, the situation now is, that we don't have access to all the servers - I still try to get access to the server housing company where the physical bare metal servers are running. Even with that, we do not have access to all our servers, those few that we have access to, we cannot manage because the system administrator that helped us move from the Florida servers to the new servers in Europe, has rewritten some crucial part of the software, and we don't have the source code to it (as mentioned above).
[13:18] Eldovar Lamilton: To summarize the situation: this grid is not manageable anymore.
[13:18] Eldovar Lamilton: As a consequence, we have decided heavy heartedly, to shut down 3RG.

Feeling empty today. Monkey sits still and quietly and looks worried. Not a normal morning in Caribou.
My partnership ended last night. I want to tell openly about it as it brings some changes to Caribougrid. And I hope that it can help others who have gone through the same.
I am so happy that Andron remains in Caribou. He will be less here because of other obligations and responsibilities. And yes, we will stay close friends. Andron will continue to help me with the difficult tech issues. We share our home here and I see that there are always fresh flowers and something to eat in the kitchen.
But our partnership? It did not get a real chance, for many reasons. And the future? We see what it brings.
There are some changes in Caribou. Three 2x2 large regions are now away or empty. Monkey and me are starting to repair them and we hope to have Caribou back in shape soon.
Friends are welcome to help of course.
Caribou will remain open for all 18+ Avatars from all regions and grids. There will be no changes.
I hope that you will all continue to respect this so that we can serve as a meeting point for everyone, outside any grid conflicts.
My younger sister Christina Lion is 19+ and will help me in Caribou. Yanny who is a wee bit older likes to be a fairy so better that Christina takes the responsibility.
'Little Lion' Christina cried, but was happy that Andron and her cousins will stay, even if they can come more seldom.
So, at the end it did not turn out to be as bad a day as I had expected. But yes, an empty and lonely feeling came over me, which Monkey understood.
I still suffer from the exclusion that I wrote about earlier, and am always here to lend a listening ear if someone wants to talk about these things.
Looking at Monkey, I smile. I love you and need you.

For the last 3 weeks, I have dealt with a intermittent issue on my grid that has about driven me nuts. I have tested, and eliminated possibilities …..without luck.
Yesterday two of the largest grid owners in open sim, Lone Wolf from Wolf Territories and Josh Boam from Aviworlds, took time from their busy schedules to help finally fix this issue. In addition , Rafael from Wolf Territories assisted. I cannot say thanks enough!
Although I work with Josh’s hosting business, this involved much more. Josh would not give up and recruited Lone Wolf.
In my opinion, maybe this is what opensim was designed to be: sharing of knowledge and helping each other.
Lone Wolf and Josh did not have to give up their time to help a tiny grid…..but they did!
Maybe we can all learn from these individuals!

FYI. The default setting of 2 threadsets can cause major headaches depending on your region….it is way too low in some cases. You all probably know that…but I learned.

When you land at Indigo Blue Realm you will arrive in our Teleport Hub. From there you can click on the destination board to visit our Welcome Center and other areas of the region.
Backstory of the Teleport Hub because you absolutely didn't ask me.. LOL
It is me being new to opensim and having no clue what i was doing, built my home sim on the region landing spot coordinates. x 128, y128,. I kept building and building all around that spot never ever realizing it is the standard landing coordinates for all regions.
I noticed one day that people coming to my region were constantly landing in or about my home. That can get to be annoying, yah? For me and the person landing on my region, annoying as hell especially if i am changing clothes. Ok that part may not be annoying for some 0.o. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what in the name of opensimness was going wrong. Because, well, not many people were visiting me at the time I gave up and shrugged it off. I would find out later, wrong move there sista love! Wrong move!!
Finally ready to start letting people know about Indigo Blue Realm and allowing visitors in, lo and behold that old landing point issue rose up like a freakin fire breathing dragon. No one is landing at my Welcome center they are still landing at my home.
Yes i had teleports that automatically put them at the Welcome Center but it was annoying too. I could have moved my home sim but I was already in too deep...lol and lazy yeah just lazy.
So I just built a teleport hub at those coordinates and moved the house slightly over a bit outta the traffic area and called it a day! Problem solved LOL
So for all you new region owners out there before you start building, make sure your home if you have one is not on or near the x 128, y 128, coordinates or you will be in the same boat as I was (smacks forehead)

After looking at the gold Buddha in the 360° snapshot from yesterday, I realized the gold can look much better so I retextured it. This is not pbr, it uses material textures, and adding lights around it will bring out the sparkle even more. This statue is free and can be found in the Asian room in the main store building.

Some of you may know that Barefoot Dreamers Grid has been down, fully or partially for several days.
we are sad to say that things are still not functioning fully.
we are working on the server side, trying to restore assets and functions.
because of this, we are cancelling all events on Barefoot Dreamers Grid until we get it sorted.
We will post here when we get back to full functioning.

Announcing the opening of the Raven's Peak Grid (ex Resurgence).
We managed to find an old backup from a month ago and have loaded it up. Not ideal, however we are all encouraged that not all is lost!
We have decided on a separate landing area to the main regions. You will now land on an island where you can TP to the region of your choice using the region teleporter.
The shops are open along with Hellfire Bay and Cinders Beach & Residential. We are all working hard to re-upload all our lost items and more! This means everything else has been put on hold so we can bring you quality items once again. So pop on over regularly because there will be new items in the stores daily.
If you were living at Cinders Beach prior to the hack, please contact Mike or Zoey. Either your island is still standing and needs to be handed back to you or it was lost. Either way, we can certainly assist.
We do have whole regions available and payable monthly POA:
1x1 - 30,000 prims
2x2 - 60,000 prims
4x4 - 90,000 prims

I have tried to tell people that our mall is a little different; but tonight I want to show you one of our best selling products - the amazing horses from my friend Roland Francis.
Most of you know about Roland and his horses....but I am going to brag anyways. I used to raise horses in SL. You dont even want to know how much I spent on food.....and then the horses were not naturally grazing. If you found ones that were...you could not ride them. I have tried every horse I found in Second Life and Opensim, and I honestly believe Roland's horses offer the best ride and most realistic animations.
So....you might ask...what does this have to do with a mall? We are honored to be able to offer Rolands horses to you here at Friends Mall and I have built a special path to let you try them. Ride over the mountains...past the pond...and the long oceanside trail....and I am sure you will fall in love with these horses.

The Magic Mirror! Have you wanted a mirror you can click on and see yourself? Well here it is... You must change the mirror from "Buy" to "Sit" after you get it home. Then just click the mirror and sit on it. Press the [Esc] key on your keyboard to see yourself in the mirror. Make sure to turn off your AO. When you are done playing with the menu animations in the magic mirror, simply stand up. Et Voila. ( Yes I know this mirror is ugly as sin, but it's full perm, and you can play with the script, and retexture this mirror any way you like, maybe even put the scripts inside a decent looking mirror? i dunno. Anyway Enjoy )
With this script it is also possible to put in other animations, such as if you wanted to see yourself dancing in the mirror. etc. A long long time ago, i made this script for a lady in digiworldz. She put it inside a beautiful mirror and gave me a copy of that mirror, but I lost it in a grid crash, and it's been so long ago I forgot her name. I would love to have a copy of that mirror again, so if you want a better mirror ask around on digiworldz.

Some of you may know that Barefoot Dreamers Grid has been down, fully or partially for several days.
we are sad to say that things are still not functioning fully.
we are working on the server side, trying to restore assets and functions.
because of this, we are cancelling all events on Barefoot Dreamers Grid until we get it sorted.
We will post here when we get back to full functioning.

New teleport system on EUROPA. instead of the traditional (and dull one) now public can tap into many places in SIM by using this Interphasic Taxi Buble. Totem available at many spots spread allover the SIM. It can carry up to 03 passengers. Enjoy :)

What is orb? Orb is a webtop operating system. This means, it's like having a working windows desktop computer, but in a browser window. WHY DOES IT MATTER? Well, imagine your avatar has a tablet in their hand, or cell phone, or a laptop. Now imagine your avatar can zoom in on the screen AND RUN REAL WORLD APPS and save data. Example: Your avatar could have a tablet in their hand that is running firestorm they are using to control another avatar. o.O You get it? Not only that, but this webtop computer is super fast and super responsive (no lag or delay at all). All you do is go here: https://gitlab.com/hsleisink/orb and download the latest release of orb to your linux machine, then gunzip it, then tar -xf. Then take the folder structure to your webroot. THIS WILL GIVE EVERY USER ON YOUR GRID THE ABILITY TO HAVE INWORLD WORKING DEVICES. Many users can set up free accounts. At Lunaria Emporium on Wolf Territories Grid you can walk through and interact with all my structures, including the Victorian Club, a large entertainment venue / bar done in the late 19th century Gilded Age style, rich with texture and lighting. The venue is perfect for live performers, DJs, and any other large celebration or gathering, such as grid parties, birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. Step inside to luxurious elegance and extravagant detail, from dark wood paneling and chevron wood floors, to gold chandeliers and paneled ceiling. A full bar greets you after you enter, complete with leather and wood stools, granite and leather countertops, brass taps, registers, glasses, and a variety of spirits. At the far end is a turn-of-the-century stage with Edison lighting. Along both sides by ornate carved columns you'll find plush leather chairs and cozy lighting. The entire build truly comes to life when paired with Shared Environment and higher graphics settings to bring out the material textures.
The Club began life 3 years ago on Utopia Skye Grid as the Fetish Fire Club where it is still used for fantastic music and light shows to this day. A slightly modified and larger version sits on Wolf Territories Grid as the Wolf Pack Club which is also in continuous use for various events.
The Club comes with a variety of extra accessories: a beautiful mesh vase with flowers, a variety of mesh glassware, a copy of the Victorian Seating group, and a copy of the Victorian Street Lamp.
There are 3 gold light switches inside the club that control 3 lighting areas. Two are located near the back of the club to the right of the stage on a wall: the top one turns on the chandeliers and the bottom one turns on the wall sconces. The third switch is on the middle of the bar and turns on the 4 bar lamps and undercounter lights near the stools. The scripts for the switches are NO MODIFY, due to a licensing agreement with the script creator. All other scripts and parts of the club ARE modifiable. This will cause the copy of the club in your inventory to show as NO MODIFY, but it's really only these 3 scripts that cannot be changed or looked at.
All chairs and stools use the AVSitter seating system and must remain linked to the build to ensure they remain working properly. While the AVSitter poses can be adjusted, no more can be added, but you can remove AVSitter and add your own seating system and animations if you like.

This is the main Roman display area, and you can walk through all the Roman structures here. This is one of several display areas at Lunaria Emporium at ground level surrounding the main store. Each area has a theme and has its own EEP sky setting to accentuate it. Make sure you have Shared Environment selected as well as higher graphics to see the shadows and materials.
You can reach this area by clicking the Roman sign in the lobby on the left side, or by taking the bridge, hopping a boat, or flying.

Hand of 'God'
Today I had another of those moments many can relate with... as I was placing some lamp posts, the bridge I had place for mere practical purpose called me. There were stand-alone lanterns in the set...and there it was. If felt 'right'. But why? Why was so excited? There was nothing groundbreaking on it, I was eventually going to put lights there so..why? The pixelate landscape had suddenly become a place, a scene, a story. The mesh suddenly 'blended' together to emulate the quirkiness and choesive imperfection that we find in the real world by the Hand of 'God'. And it dawned on me that that's what many of us seek on this creative process. Not terraforming, or landscaping, but emulating the Hand of 'God'. The dimly lit wooden footbridge soon demanded some eery fireflies and bushes. And I know it will soon demand more: a forgotten fishpole, maybe a misplaced plank, a rock coming up from the river that never quite fit with the wooden structure...
