I guess this may be related: I keep seeing some male mesh body malfunctioning, at least on newer OpenSim versions. I don't know which one it is, I don't use this kind of body (it's none with Roth in the name), so it's always on other avatars and NPCs. What I see is that the right hand stays white, and the left hand doesn't support Bento.

Strangely, on an old and unpatched Arriba version, the body seemed to work as designed. No white hand at least.

So yes, someone should point the devs here.

Ruth's "outfit" with a twist on Ruth2. Shot in original locations. She couldn't help but do that. https://opensimworld.com/post/94056

Just flick the gender switch in the shape, and you get Roth who has got abs and, fortunately, no breasts.

/me sincerely hopes the current Roth2 caretakers aren't watching my every step and reading my every post and won't surprise me with a manboob-equipped Roth2 v3 in a few months...

It's funny how Juno counts as a fashion creator now, as if she made her own meshes.

All she has done so far is make new skirts from meshes by Klarabella Karamell and textures by the same Klarabella Karamell which Klara herself hasn't combined into ready-to-wear garments. Or, at most, take Klara's denim texture for her 2022 miniskirt and make new colour variations.

At the fashion show, only one case of the former (the skirt she wore the second time she went out) and literally none of the latter was shown. Most of what Juno did for the fashion show was put together outfits from pieces of clothing by Klarabella Karamell, Damien Fate/Cary Bean (Deva Moda), Damien Fate/Klarabella Karamell, Shinobar Martinek et al.

I guess the misunderstanding came in several steps. At some point in the preparation and organisation process, the information got completely lost that Juno had, in fact, not created from scratch what was in the outfits she had put together. Still, she was credited for them. And Spike, the announcer, took that over without even questioning it. It was so out-of-the-ordinary (everyone else HAD created their clothes from scratch) that getting this information securely and permanently all the way to Spike would have required constant nagging and nagging until it may have gotten through.

This led to clothes actually created by other people being attributed to Juno.

Festa 24H isn't listed on OSW, by the way, which is a pity. It may be old, but there's a lot to be found especially for ladies who really make good use of BoM.

The address is hg.osgrid.org:80:Festa 24H

The GothicShop only allows one single Firestorm version. And that's either the version that was the most up-to-date when the sim was last worked on or the version which the sim owner used when the sim was last worked on.

And the sim has probably remained untouched ever since its launch 2 years ago. This means that the viewer whitelist has not been changed since long before the release of Firestorm 6.4.12.

Thus, the only viewer allowed on this sim is either Firestorm 6.0.2 or Firestorm 6.3.9. I'm leaning more towards 6.0.2 because that was the only Firestorm version that CMFreedom allowed back in the day. Even if you should manage to dig up a copy of Firestorm 6.0.2, many of you will barely be able to use it because it was the last version without BoM.

Thanks for the advice and warning ahead.

By the way, when I mentioned alts that are online 24/7, they usually don't serve as guides (that's what you normally use NPCs for) but to artificially push the visitor count and thereby the ranking here on OSW. Not exactly few sim owners do that, even though it's cheating and against OSW rules.

As for the watermill wheel, if you need help, try to get into contact with Kayaker Magic. He has probably scripted worse things than that.

Oh, thank you Jupiter. The watermill wheel: for some reason the X/Y/Z values controlling the axle rotation have got corrupted. I'll peep inside the script and try swapping Y for X or something. I'm not really a scripter so I might need to give Kayaker a shout; thank you for the link.

There are lots of places on the Hypergrid that people have put huge amounts of work into, but that hardly see any visitors.

Of course, one contributing factor is that sims which aren't listed on OSW practically count as non-existent because people will probably never know about them.

But even if Mount Grace was listed on OSW, it would stay unnoticed unless it had three or four permanently-online alts of the owner on it. Most people only gravitate towards two kinds of sims: whatever a big event is currently happening on and freebie sims offering the latest and greatest and hottest avatar accessories stolen from SL. Even sex sims are far behind.

If I were to mention places that I think deserve more attention, I'd recommend those built by a friend of mine, JohnWinston Vandyke (https://opensimworld.com/user/JohnWinston). His sims aren't places where you can teleport in, keep standing at the landing-point, cam around for five minutes and see it all.

Strawberry Fields is a Beatles museum that leads the visitor through various phases in the career of the Fab Four, basically for the same target audience as the two Pepperland sims, but with a different purpose.

His Star Wars-themed sims are even more spectacular. If you want to visit them, bring a lot of time for each one of them (Korriban alone is a maze that'll take a few hours to see everything) and switch to mouse look.

Also, when you visit one of his sims, turn the music stream on. It's part of the experience and not yet another generic dance or classic rock stream.

This may sound harsh, but to people like OpenSimUser, "old" refers to everything that doesn't appear like it was stolen from Second Life in the last 12 months. And "Linda Kellie" is a curse word because none of her 2007/2008 creations are on the same quality level as commercial clothes for Maitreya Lara offered for premium prices in SL.

No, old means crap that was created 10 to 15 years ago, please learn to use a Dictionary correctly.
Abnd there is plenty of new stuff available in and for opensim, that isnt stolen content.
You really should learn not to put your ass before your own mouth.
