Maybe your shoe bases are faulty. This is how you can acquire working ones:

Go to one of these sims:
https://opensimworld.com/hop/76066
https://opensimworld.com/hop/89174
https://opensimworld.com/hop/81253
https://opensimworld.com/hop/87009

Find a square or cubic box named Ruth2 v4 - Extras.

Once you've unpacked it, put on the item named Shoe Height Adjust for Fixed Feet High.

That should take care of your problem.

Unfortunately, Athena 6 has none of these in its box anymore because everyone with a female avatar fixes the avatar height at something that works with high heels and never wears flat shoes anymore.

So you have to find either Athena 5 or the grey Ruth2 v4 Extras box.

The automated cars at Tropicana Bird's Nest seem to have something like this, and they notify you if you're standing in their way.

Maybe the sim owner can help you.

You have to register each region separately on OSW, and you need exactly one beacon in each region.

Does this happen on other ZetaWorlds sims? All ZetaWorlds sims perhaps?

What grid is your avatar registered on? Your own grid? Is it a DreamGrid? If not, does it run on dynamic DNS?

ZetaWorlds denies access to any and all avatars from DreamGrids. That's because ZetaWorlds blocks a) grids that don't offer any information on how to contact the admin other than in-world (DreamGrids don't) and b) grids that don't have fixed IP addresses (DreamGrids don't).

Instead of actually blocking access, however, ZetaWorlds first sends you a DM about why you aren't allowed to enter and then logs you out by force.

I don't use DreamGrid. I have static ip with my own DNS servers. I can put contact info, where do I put it? lol. I never received a DM. Anyway, there's lots to explore in OS, i will come back and check later! thank you.

oooh i think it is ZetaWorlds. I just tried to go to an event there and the thing about Gloebit popped up. I just bought 2500 Gloebit because many of the grids i've gone to accept it, so I thought i would try it out. Anyway, after that popup i just kicked me out of Firestorm totally with the dark screen that says "you have been logged out, view chat" whatever. So it's like maybe ZetaWorlds has a paranoid firewall thing and kicks out "good" customers or maybe i'm not a good enough customer lmao. I'll just avoid ZetaWorlds i guess unless you say it's fixed. it's just annoying to get kicked out lol. good think was that there was another event at the same time so i relogged and went over there, yay.

It wasn't Mattie and Niki who threw you out of Stark.

It was the whole grid, ZetaWorlds, that threw you out at grid owner Vincent Sylvester's behest.

ZetaWorlds doesn't let anyone in from a DreamGrid, it doesn't let anyone in from any grid that uses dynamic DNS (all home-hosted DreamGrids do), it doesn't let anyone in from a grid without a valid imprint that provides some out-of-world admin contact (DreamGrids don't have that).

If you don't believe me, try going elsewhere on ZetaWorlds, and watch your avatar being logged out by force, no matter where on ZetaWorlds you are.

So that you have to camp on OneLife.

So that OneLife sims report more visitor traffic to OSW.

So that they have a higher popularity ranking on OSW.

So that Noah can brag about how popular his sims are because they've got so many visitors.

I think this is the choice of each person for him or herself, everyone is doing their own virtual life, if you dont like how the grid conducts its business don't go there, but don't knock someone for it, I really can't understand why people get so upset about something that does no harm, and does not concern them,

I don't like at all how the owner of OneLife acts and regulates everything. So I refrain from visiting the grid. I don't think it's up to anyone to judge. If you don't like it, just stay away. But there are always people who think they know everything, interfere everywhere and add their two cents. This is completely superfluous and unnecessary.

I guess the only language Alex understands is being convicted.

And if everyone who has ever lost content and/or real money whenever AviWorlds was shut down without warning and everyone whose creations Alex has declared his private intellectual property joined in this lawsuit, Alex would be done big time.

I only turn it off when I absolutely must because the FPS are so low that it becomes hard to move or do anything. It's a few things like shadows that I only have on for photos.

It's online again. It was just temporary.

Also, Hyacinth is going to move her own Mastodon instance, Groovytoot, to another server this weekend.

It should be the other way around.

If a sim is shown as offline while actually being online, the OSW beacon needs to be re-initialised. If a sim has been listed as offline for months or years while actually being online, the sim owner doesn't take good care of it and never looks after the beacon.

What those who want to attend the grand opening need to know:

1) You have to accept the Rendezvous TOS by clicking "I accept" on the blue dialogue that will eventually pop up or by typing "I accept" in local chat. Otherwise you'll be teleported back to the landing and eventually sent to AMV Welcome.

2) You also have to join the Rendezvous group. Otherwise you'll be teleported back to the landing and eventually sent to AMV Welcome.

3) The TOS ask for avatars to be nude or wear skimpy beachwear when on a beach. The grand opening will be on a beach. Dress accordingly, i.e. ideally not at all.

AFAIR, Adachi used to be on Sacrarium at some point. And since it was chock-full of almost entirely copybotted SL content, it seemed to fit right in. Add to that the fact that Oni clearly isn't a native English speaker. So it's easy to draw that conclusion.

But Adachi was not like anything that was the "core" of Sacrarium at any given point. It wasn't an entry-point for ripped content like The Harbor or The Conglomerate on Foundation Grid where Adachi resided later. Oni only offered what he and his companions had gathered all over the Hypergrid. It worked like many other freebie sims, only on a bigger scale.

And if you looked closely, there were actually a few legal original OpenSim creations on Adachi that were "by-catch" from shopping tours. Had Adachi truly been part of the Russian copybotting mafiya, Oni would have done like the mafiya mobsters, weeded out all legal content and taken pride in not having anything legal anywhere on Adachi except the OSW beacon and a few necessarily original signs. Instead, Oni was even open to offering the full Ruth2/Roth2 collection.

Cherry Manga must have a sixth sense for doomed grids. Whenever a grid she used to call home goes down for what looks like good, she has always managed to jump ships in time, be it FrancoGrid, be it CopyKat.

I've just talked to her. She needs the UUID of your avatar to at least try and add you while you aren't on the grid.

By the way, I can't guarantee that all entries on the list are always reachable. But if something should be offline, and it remains on the list, I'm confident that it'll return.

It's a bit more complicated now.

Step 1: Ask Otto or Suzan von Otter for a group invite via PM. If you ask Otto, prepare to wait for a few days, he's busy currently.
Step 2: Get invited onto another sim in Otterland. This is necessary because the Klamotto group only exists in Otterland, so you can't join it outside the grid.
Step 3: Receive the actual invitation to the group.

Also, fair warning ahead: Otterland runs a rather old version of OpenSim that doesn't support BoM. If you have a BoM avatar, some repair will be necessary after your visit.

Remmy is moving to a new grid which she's starting together with Tanned Babe. I can only hope she'll bring these shops back, for the stuff she had at Tropicana Freebies before it closed down (layer swimwear, beach bags, beach hats etc.) hasn't resurfaced either except for one bikini in the Ruth 2.0 RC#3 BoM box.

In the meantime, here's a list of shops I've compiled that offer legal mesh clothes which Ruth2 can wear: https://hub.netzgemeinde.eu/wiki/jupiter_rowland/Jupiter(27)s(20)Ruth2(20)and(20)Roth2(20)Wiki/Mesh(20)clothes(20)for(20)Ruth2
