Hello,

Thank you all for the kind words and advice. Let me start off by saying, I have never had a desire to own land in a sim or get a house, I know there are many options from free land to rentals. I never started to "work" for this grid owner, it was more like a shared idea we teamed up to make come alive. I still don't work for grid owners, but I will help those that ask for my help (advice, opinion, etc etc). I do that knowing that I may be at some point unable to see or access my work (grid shut down, owners change, drama, etc etc). So this is not about any of that. This post was never a call for revenge, but a way for me to answer the many questions of "What happened?".

I do plan on self hosting a place for me to bunker my avi or backup my avi.

I do also want to update about this post. In the last few days, the grid owner of which most of this post is about has reached out to me and for the most part apologized for the events. I accept their apology and acknowledged that they were caught up in many untruths which did somehow pull me into the barrage of negativity that I only experienced at the very end. For the majority of the time this grid owner treated me well and sang my praises (of which I appreciate, but honestly makes me uncomfortable to be put on a pedestal, Im pretty reserved/humble irl). The events that lead up to this nonsense was the result of a small storm this grid owner was caught up in that ultimately spilled over on me. And the sudden barrage of nastiness was a line IRL and here in OS that if it's crossed makes me depart from the whole thing (My self defense, experience and intuition guide me on that). I would be lying if I said it was abusive arrangement the whole time; If that were the case I would have left a long time ago.

It really came down to my last two days on the sim, but also incorporated many things that I felt were counter to growing a fan/user base. At first decisions were made in partnership, but then decisions were made unilaterally. That's all fine, kind of. Because I am only a stake holder with my avi and design work and not truly financially tied to the cost of the operations, I felt that those who invest financially in the sim, manage the servers, and do all the back end work have a larger say. Eventually there were a bunch of here-say and allegations (not about me, but about others) that were thrown around and I take them with a grain of salt. I really would need hard evidence, see it with my own eyes, or experience it first hand for me to buy in to it. When its true, its is blatantly true and we acted upon those. These and other things all added in my head that something was really off and that this sim was in decline, but I didn't know why that was. Sim looked good, ran smooth technically. Even with the numerous people getting uninvited, un-welcomed and banned I felt something else was off on top of that. Then on that second to last day the underlying drama surfaced in a boiling mess and I was caught in the splatter. The grid owner has since acknowledged this and apologized. I have forgiven, but I won't forget. I wish them well in their endeavors. As I told them, people do not need my opinion to determine what they think of them, people can arrive at their own conclusions based on their own interactions.

As it stands, they will go their way and I will go mine. No animosity, no hate, no revenge, no nonsense. As far as I am concerned this is done and over. If it stays this way, then we have learned and grown from it and we move on.

On a separate note. One the things that makes no sense to me, is people trying to take others down in a malicious and manipulative ways. The best way is to strive to do better than them in your work, design, personality, etc. The rest will sort itself over time. Maybe its just me and my desire to not have that last word...I don't know. I would rather just separate from the nonsense, but again maybe I am naive.

At present am working on designing clothes, furniture, jewelry etc, but it's a (frustrating) learning curve and ultimately whenever I do release them, they should be ready to share openly as long as no one profits on it. I only will ask for my name to remain associated with it as the original designer. I started in OpenSim, so I feel that I should live by the mantra Share Share Share never Buy.
