Excited about a new gadget. I love gadgets. Not ready for release. It obtains country information about visitors then displays their country flag ;) I've been working hard with the gadgets. I only know there is a problem when reported to me... Winging online does not help. Contact me direct..... A few gadgets had instability issues, especially under Yengine and existing OpenSim bugs which can cause crashes in gadgets. Be aware some gadgets recover under Xengine but not Yengine and this is been worked on. The Avatar Sim Load is an example. It's been improved and has special script to recover it from a Yengine / script count bug.... Bit of tweaking. One gadget withdrawn as no fix will get it stable due to OpenSIm bug and I've tried many ways to work around it.... Just can't!

If you don't have a large grid with many users I'll show you a step by step way to clean things up. This is for linux not windows. I'm busy today and will put something together later this week and post.

If you have HDD space shutdown mysql then execute: rsync -avzh /var/lib/mysql/ DESTINATION PATH assuming that's the location of your mysql databases.
or you could compress with TAR which will take a long time using following command.
tar zpcf $BackupDestPath/mysql_backup.tar.gz -C /var/lib/mysql which includes sub folders and permissions and to restore execute: note that -C is not DRIVE letter the / on end tells to restore to root path which restores to original path with permissions.
tar mysql_backup.tar.gz -C /
Mysql does not reclaim disk space when you delete databases. Unless you already configured mysql to use separate file for each database in configuration which isn't set by default on installation.

That will copy the mysql dbases to destination which includes ALL path and owner permissions.
So if you screw up the dbase. Make sure to shutdown mysqlf before moving backup back. Then restart mysql.
Always shutdown mysql when manually copying or restoring it.

Apologies for intermediate connection issues . past 2 days I've moved the server, that went smooth during off peek with over 18 hours of database transfers . To keep regions online, any objects created during the transfer will be lost (as done with SecondlIfe) I switch name server from the limited no-ip, to astatic ip to a very well rated server host etc. etc. The transfer setup was so smooth there should have been no loss in connections. Australians looking for good value server that survived the 2022 floods with no down time since 2020 may wish to look at binarylane.com.au with free name server hosting and greater ,ore highly configurable entries than no-ip (but, you need to be static) to utilise this. Have a great virtual and real life day.

It is one issue and you raised a good point. With opensim having a serious issue with a script doing a DATA_SIM_STATUS request, why should opensim be given out ;) Why should Windows be released with so many issues, should that be tested out? and, and, and and!

Wonderful region. Brilliant, well worth the visit. Hop on the dragon tour for the best experience as it takes you on the smooth tour of the well laid out caves. Hint, the CAM setting ia slightly off so hold down your ALT key and zoom onto your avatar and enjoy the ride.

Back online. Sorry, had to move the server around yesterday and went offline for near 24 hours. I celebrated after, with 3 beers, okay, lost count after 3. It was three and I'm sticking with that story.

Not a winge. Anyone else experiencing problems with teleporting to Kitely regions and not other grids? Error I get is Kitely has changed their URI!
If not, cool, I'll have to check my configs.

Cool region. Textures loaded in a reasonable good time. Ha, it reminded me of Anzac day soon approaching and will put the flag out today. My only gripe is I recommend you allow scripts for visitors. No harm will come. Makes for a better experience for all. Being over cautious with your region spoils user experience. Backup region, if which is very rare someone does harm restore from backup.

I have a new gadget available. It records sim load of an AVATAR, not region. Displays, total prims of attachments and scripts. The down side being, why I don't know, is when an avatar visits from another grid their scripts are disabled. To me that's a long standing stupid thing. The only way to have your scripts active during hyper grid teleports is to have special clothing worn from your "My Suitcase" folder which many are not aware of. Anyhow, the gadget works well for local visitors and visitors from other grids that are wearing clothing from their travelling folder "My Suitcase" Potential for gadget is many. Could be used to kick avatars (after fair warning) if causing too much load on a region / sim. But, that, is well, something that would be more suited to SecondLife not Opensim but, maybe later the gadget could evolve to that if wanted.

Not everyone can use "My Suitcase". Nor do they want or like. It might kick everyone from sim tho, lol. Your gadgets are awesome!

What error message are you getting when trying to get in? Need more information. System shows a dozen arrived and stayed a min of 10 minutes past 2 hours with the exception of 3 staying 1 or less minutes on region. Perhaps 1 is your AVI. But will monitor.

Amazing region and appreciate the work gone into it's creation. I spent over an hour exploring the multi level RP. Hidden passages and teleports that take you to amazing secrets. It's well worth grabbing a coffee before entering and taking the time to explore and appreciate the time and effort put into this masterpiece,
