Hello, I try to participate by mixing the useful with the pleasant, I wanted to make a gallery of people on Opensim, and I opted for a gallery on Flickr, more easily consultable. GET A TEXT MESSAGE ON YOUR CELL PHONE WHEN A REGION GOES DOWN.
How to get text messages, emails, pushover, telegram, and jabber alerts if a region goes down on your grid. Well it's easy. Download servermonitor from https://github.com/phpservermon/phpservermon Next unzip it and upload it to your linux box. I put the files in /var/www/html/servermonitor.
Next get on your web browser and go to websiteaddress.com/servermonitor/install.php Fill in the questions. Set up a web database of your choosing. Create a user and a password. I did this: create database servers; create user 'someone'@'localhost' identified by 'password'; grant all on servers.* to 'someone'@'localhost'; flush priveleges;
Once that is set up, it's a breeze. Use the web interface to add servers to your list. For regions just enter a service and the port number the region is on. example service, custom port, 8007 Then select how you want to be notified if the region goes down. e.g. email or sms text message, etc. Finally using crontab -e enter * * * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/servermonitor/cron/status.cron.php You are done. Now if one of your regions goes offline you will know about it in 60 seconds. Also you can add websites to the list to be monitored, mail servers, any kind of server really. It has a looooong list of server types that can be added. (very handy). Additionally you can click on a region and see it's uptime plotted hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly as well as LATENCY. We all know how important latency is for showing lag. :) Enjoy!

My sweet elderly neighbor had a long visit with me. She talked about her life and things She has done. She used to work for MTV in New York and met a lot of famous people. But She is very wise and a great friend. Today She told me that when you feel like things are getting to you just to remember, it's up to you if you let them. You don't have to. You never have to give in to bad people or even get upset by them. So when people on the internet make you angry, it's b/c you choose to let them. You read what they wrote and decided to have that particular reaction to their typed writing. You don't have to do that. It's like Dr. Wayne Dyer says, "Some people have a remote control on their shirt sleeve, they are having a great day or whatever, and someone comes in and takes the remote and pushes their buttons. Someone else controls them. Where previously they were happy and having a great day, now they are angry and upset. So don't let people take your control."

Well the cats woke me up at 6:30 am biting my toes - which is their way of saying "FEED US NOW!". So I got up and opened a can of tuna for them. Then I got a shower and got dressed and shaved and got all my gym gear and went to pick up my gym buddy in the phantom. I lifted weights and did 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, while watching "Obliterated" on netflix on my tablet. (These treadmills have a handy tablet holder spot) Well then we left the gym and I dropped off my gym buddy and went home. I thought I had to take TJ to the dr. for a BP checkup, but I was wrong, so I slept a few hours on the couch. When I woke up I was hungry so I went to Church's chicken and bought $43.79 worth of chicken, potatoes & gravy, mac & cheese, and honey biscuits. I already had tea at home so I came back home and we ate. Then I went to the movies and saw "The Painter" which is ok, but not that great as an action film. Typical cia spy saves the day and rescues everyone. Then I came back home and played with my kali linux uConsole and the cellular modem capabilities creating a service in systemD to autorun the cellular modem at boot. Then I logged onto open sim world and insulted someone and then decided to write about it all. :)

:) I am going to be tearing down the Magic Shoppe at Wizardry in the coming weeks. I wish to replace it with a forest, and an elven temple perhaps. So if you want any of the magical items there please get them now, also Savine has copies at her store which is where you will have to go to get the items. I just feel like the area would be better served as a more natural environment for a wizard. Without the old cluttered up shop on the hill.

HOW TO USE THE MAINFRAME.
Download the free program wc3270 for windows. Install it. Set up a connection to cyberdatastorm.com:3270. Your logon ID & PASSWORD will be USER100 & PIZZA OR USER101 & TACOS . You will have access too JCL, COBOL, ASSEMBLY, C++, REXX, and will be able to use the SYSDUMPs. You will be on sysplex1 with full access to 3380, 3390, and 3350 DASD. You will also have access to IBM 3420 TAPE Unit. You can explore what a mainframe operating system is like and how it is different from personal computers. Obviously you will not have access to TOP SECRET or RACF. I often say that anyone can learn PC stuff (personal computers) like Linux, Windows, or Apple OSX by reading just 1 thick 2000 page book. But for the mainframe you need to read about 200-300 of those thick 2000 page books. It is way more complicated. There are 5 mainframe operating systems: IBM Unix called AIX, IBM vm/cms, IBM os/400, Digital Equipment Corp VMS, and the Zos family. This mainframe you are logging into is in the Zos family. It does support full ISPF/TSO and CDC's (cataloged datasets). You will not have access to easytrieve, expediter, endeavour, and CICS.

I took some time out today to visit Soda's Avedon Park, and Avedon South. Once you arrive, you'll find it nearly impossible to leave, as the allure of this enchanting place leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Sometimes when you start to build you think, I don't think I can ever do this. But as you build, it begins to come alive and you're inspired and encouraged and it becomes a work of love. I have a love for ancient cultures and their architecture and customs and Japan is one of my favorites. A culture rich in traditions, customs, values and beliefs that are the heartbeat of the nation still today. This is Morisato Palace, Morisato means "flowing with or full of wisdom". It will be the central build of a new Japanese region I'm working on. When it's ready I'll put out a beacon and open the gates. In a frantic scramble to evade the spirits, you will rush through the narrow passages, but the caverns are alive with surprises. Cobwebs, thick and sticky, cling to your faces, and startled bats flutter out from the shadows, tangling in your hair.

The atmosphere is thick with tension, laughter, and the inevitable fear of what lurks just beyond the flickering light of their torches.

This was one of my first builds when I came to Open Sim. I had to make all of the textures, and it wasn't very good as I was still green at building. Yesterday I remodeled and straightened walls and linked it all together except the garage door and the toilets with animations and I think the garbage can in the bathrooms. A couple of other things, so use your build window to rez and place. It is now in a box and for the first time, I am offering it for free for anyone that wants it. Here is a parking garage for your town or city. The arms raise to allow entrance. The top part is faux so only the bottom floor is accessible but you get the look of a full parking garage without all the prims. (40 prims total, without cars.) we are approaching the first anniversary of this incredible journey. Looking back, I think it has been a challenging but also a very fulfilling year. We made important relationships, met so many people and created events that made us laugh so much. In short, it has been a good journey and I look forward to continuing it for a long time to come.
In this year we have seen a vibrant community full of positive energy grow. Each of you has contributed to making New Life Italy a special place where we can express our passions, share our ideas and support our dreams. We have faced challenges and overcome obstacles together, strengthening our bond and proving that, united, we can achieve any goal.
It was wonderful to see how much creativity and commitment you put into each project and event. From the weekly meetings to the big events, every moment spent together was precious and left an indelible mark in our hearts. The laughter, deep conversations and new friendships born in this year are the real treasures of this experience.
We are working on a big party to celebrate this first major milestone together. It will be a surprise party for many of you, because we deserve it and you deserve it! We want to celebrate not only the time that has passed, but also the future that lies ahead. The party will be an opportunity to relive the best moments and prepare for new adventures together.
We will gradually keep you updated on the development of the event. We promise it will be an unforgettable experience, full of surprises and joy. There will be moments of reflection, but also a lot of fun, because every important anniversary deserves to be celebrated in style.

Hello Friends! I have been busy working on my shop and have made this sweet stone house available. It comes with a stone wall you can use as well. I built it for Braewood Forest in The Land Of Xzar, so visit there if you would like to see it furnished with the things I made for it as the one at the mall is unfurnished. All should be copy if anyone wants, or ask me. I have included a kitchen you can place if you wish.
I have added a lot of landscaping items: planters with flowers, ground flowers and plants, and a beautiful collection of trees made with AI-generated textures. There are also some new water lilies to add to your ponds, as well as a wooden gazebo with a dance ball.
I make all of my content using sculpts and prims. The shop is full of decor and finishing pieces that help turn a house into a home.
