I can also confirm that you don't need an NPC but can simply put the script into an item and use on a bot (an alt or just an account you don't use often so as to bring it to life. This way you can move it around and put it on different positions etc rather than just using a 'static' npc

I signed up for Kindroid as well to try it out, got 3 months on a deal. Seem pretty good and realistic, but not tried it in world yet.

I have found that every FS viewer above 6.6.14 has an inventory load bug which prevents inventory fetching correctly on log in. Just gonna stick with 6.6.14 until the bugs fixed.

7.1.9 gives me issues and fails to load inventory fully. Have to keep searching for something in inventory search, or simply typing gibberish in the search and hitting enter to get it to load inventory. Using Opensim0.9.2.2

Hello Jamie, I don't know you but am sorry to hear about your experiences. Sadly Opensim seems to be full of drama these days. The only good thing is there really isn't any need to be part of other grids as Opensim can be run on your own PC, people can have their own little mini grids or just a single region which they only turn on when they want to come in world. You can't be banned from your own grid/region and you will never lose an account again. All the best for the future.

Agreed, you look at OSW to see where people are gathering and then find it is fake. Also people and grids that don't fake their numbers and try to play by the rules get penalised and pushed right to the bottom of the rankings because some scummy selfish people want to rig the system and break the rules.

There are far more small independent grids and mini-grids and not to mention standalones than there are big grids. The days of the big grids are coming to an end in my opinion. Zetaworlds for example has pretty much just isolated themselves by blocking most small and independent grids. It's their users who suffer for it. Most people when they come to Opensim start in a big grid but then most of the time move on and start their own one. Like you say using Dreamgrid on your home pc is so simple, why anyone would want to entrust their assets and inventory to big grids when they can take ownership of them for themselves is beyond me, but hey ho each to their own.

There's lots of stuff that goes on in Opensim that I don't particular like or am interested but I don't post all over OSW and bad mouth it, I just choose not to go there or be part of it.
