DJ Astoria started the celebration bringing on the dance jams. Neytiri's pyromusical fireworks start at 9PM with a fresh sound track and synchronized fireworks, some old favorites and many newly minted effects. Christmas Ship Parade and display!
Come see the Christmas decorated Ships of the DiscoveryGrid Battle Group - led by Admiral Modee Parlez.
There will be a docking of the boats by the battle group, arriving approximately 3:30 Discovery Grid Time. The dock will be at the edge of the Discovery Christmas Market. Reach it by going to the skating rink and taking the walkway to the water. Residents are welcome to come view the ships and tour them.
The Christmas Ships will remain at the dock for viewing until the end of the Christmas Market. They will be judged by a team of Discovery residents.

Rogue has been singing professionally for over 2 decades with her own band in RL and also with other bands too. She has a duo, trio, & a full band that plays a wide variety of music from blues to rock and easy listening! Rogue's vocals are described as sultry, bluesy and smokey.
Her distinct voice and musical style will charm the hearts of ALL. Nominated for Sammy's NY People Choice award 2020. She is a must hear performer!

It is brought to you by Neytiri, owner/operator of PyroVR. These are technically accurate fireworks, the likes never seen before. Once again Neytiri has been working on new custom effects and techniques that will be debuted for this event. Bigger shells, bigger BOOMs!
SPECIAL: After the fireworks we invite people to fly the F/A-18 jetcraft. Read the placard, mind the landing gear and keep looking up!
NOTE: the doors may close at 7PM grid time to reduce disturbances caused by inbound Hypergrid hops. Please show up early.

The Blue Angels have returned to the metaverse bringing their virtual air show to DiscoveryGrid, and this time they are flying the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets, powered by custom physical flight and SFX scripts, made by InMotion (Balpien Hammerer). These aircraft will astound you as their pilots perform high precision breathtaking acrobatic flight maneuvers and thunderous flyovers to continue the birthday celebrations.
If you missed the DJ party, please arrive BEFORE 7PM because the doors may close if more than 40 people are in the region. Hypergrid hops perturb the balance.

No flight/vehicle experience necessary because these hot air balloons fly themselves. Hop in one, get on a dance pad in the basket (four per balloon), then dance to the tunes of DJ Astoria while the balloons cruise around slowly.
There will be hot air balloons ready to go at the event site. Or BYOB (bring your own balloon). Afraid of virtual heights? No worries, we'll have dance pads on the ground too!

The Seattle Winter Market is OPEN on the Discovery Grid. This is the perfect place to enjoy shopping in tents full of Christmas/Winter items created by the “fabulous” Discovery Grid merchants. There is also a huge ice skating rink, which will be open for the duration of the market from Dec 12 – Jan 2. This event, located at the base of the Seattle Space Needle in virtual Seattle, is set to Gloebit currency and is open to everyone in Open Sim. Come for the market, stay for the ice skating and snow ball fights... and ENJOY!

After the airshow and pyromusical events we will have a dance party.

The Discovery Grid

One of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century was formed in 1964. Actually, it developed from an earlier band known as The Detours. In 1964, the band claimed themselves as part of the pop art and mod movements.
On August 17, 1969, a little known band, known as The Who, played Live At Woodstock. At 5am on Sunday, just before the Jefferson Airplane took the Woodstock stage, the rock outfit 'The Who' played their rock opera titled “Tommy”, the story of a deaf, dumb, and blind boy who is cured of his ailments and gains stardom, becoming a legendary performer.
Come join us on the Discovery Grid as SEISMIC EVENTS pays tribute to Tommy by the Who. So come join us for friendship, fun and entertainment. Hope to see you there.
