Blender classes, shooting range, bow and arrow, rifles, pistols, cannon, huntable dinosaurs, white water river, Pandoran flora and fauna. Don't get the T-Rex mad and don't click on the electric fence.
Did you know Discovery Grid has over 100 ocean regions? over 300 square kilometers of water to sail or fly over? This Saturday I'll fly over as much of the ocean as I can reach in one hour and you can come along for the ride. Plenty of seats in my Ocean Engineering Leer Jet with a flight script by Balpien Hammerer.
A different adventure almost every Saturday at 9:30AM. Start you weekend surfing, horseback riding, archery, BIG GAME hunting, kayaking, sailing, etc.
"Bytes" means small lessons in Blender that you can learn to jump into Blender, do one useful thing, and then get out of Blender.
I've created a YouTube channel with some of the beginner stuff the way I teach it. Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5IheM2z1E9P5IhT9yjjNiw/p...
This week I'll be looking at a couple submarines that look like they will make good mesh for vehicles to sail the new Deep Oceans in Discovery Grid.
Class is held almost every Wednesday at 9:30AM, you must be able to hear voice to get the instruction, a Blender screen is shared on a media prim and on a WEB page (using Screen Leap).
Start your weekend with a different adventure every Saturday morning at 9:30AM. This Saturday's adventure is an archery contest. Test your skill against your friends at the 40 meter target range. Two heats, beginner (easy arrows that go straight) and advanced (arrows fall with gravity). Prizes in gloebits for first place in each heat. Come by anytime before the event and practice with the demo bows. Come back every Saturday for a different adventure every time. Surfing, sailing, big game hunting (REALLY BIG GAME) kayaking, dune buggy racing, etc.
"Bytes" means little useful things you can do easily with Blender. With the goal of learning Blender one little byte at a time. Sometimes Ada Radius comes and teaches us armatures, clothing, rigging, weight painting and other advanced topics. The teachers will be talking on voice, you will at least need to hear it to attend. I will share my Blender screen on ScreenLeap, you can watch on a prim-in-world or get better resolution on a browser on your monitor.
This week special guest lecturer Ada Radius will continue a 4 part (or more?) series of classes about making clothing. Last Wednesday we spent the whole class showing how to set up Blender for rigging. This week we should actually get started with topology, UV mapping, BoM and then rigging. Or any other clothing topics the students ask about.
Blender Bytes class every Wednesday morning in Discovery Grid.

This week Ada Radius will talk about her new armature for avatars and rigged clothing.
Ada has been fixing bugs in the SL/OpenSim armatures and working to find ways to rig avatars and clothing in Blender without using expensive plug-ins. She recently renamed the volume bones and rearranged the hierarchy so that left to right is consistent, so Blender symmetry works with it. And is oddly less buggy in areas that have nothing to do with symmetry. She added a nondeforming PelvisChild bone so we can rotate something to test mPelvis weights.
Come sit in the Lost World Safari Lodge in-world and watch a slide show about a trip 17 years ago when I dragged my kayak over a mountain from Loon Lake to Buck Island Lake in the Sierra Mountains of California. I was just back there this weekend and took a few pictures of what it looks like now with smoke from all the fires nearby. Comments about each slide will be given in voice. Soak in the Anti-Grav Hot Tub afterwards.
A different adventure every Saturday at 9:30AM. Start you weekend surfing, horseback riding, archery, BIG GAME hunting, kayaking, sailing, etc.
Usually we do an in-world adventure every Saturday morning, surfing, kayaking, archery, horseback riding etc. But this time we are taking a break to sit in front of the fire and enjoy watching adventure photographs. Learn the answer to the question: Why does Kayaker call himself that?
Come sit and relax in the lodge to watch an adventure slide show this Saturday morning. Why does he call himself "Kayaker"? Mister Magic will present a slide show from one of his kayak expeditions in RL. He has kayaked in many remote locations around the world. The slide show will be presented in-world on a prim upstairs in the Lost World Safari Lodge.

Blender Bytes: A Blender class every Wednesday morning at 10:00AM. "Bytes" means little things you can learn to get into Blender, do some quick change, and get out without being a Power User. This week come watch me try to learn to make animation files in Blender. Or get pieces of avatar bodies to load to make costume parts. Last week Ada radius taught us how to save rigged bodies without needing Avastar, November 18th she is coming back to talk about weight editing.
This week’s class has a special guest lecturer Ada Radius, who worked on the Ruth & Roth project. This is a bit of an advanced topic for us , but Ada is going to talk about armatures, rigging, mesh clothing and bodies. Because of an unholy alliance between Avastar and Linden Labs, anybody who made mesh clothing or bodies had no choice but to buy a copy of Avastar. Since Blender 2.8 came out, it is possible to make rigged mesh without an expensive (and buggy) plugin. Ada will show us the first few steps of this process.
Every Wednesday at 10:00AM we meet for a class in little things (bytes) you can use Blender for without having to be a power user of this powerful program. You will need Blender 2.8 or better and the ability to listen to voice. I'll be sharing my Blender screen on Screen Leap, which you can watch on a regular browser. I can put it on a media prim in-world, but you will get a better picture with a browser, especially if you can put it on a separate monitor.
Halloween is almost here! So this Saturday morning we are fighting off a ZOMBIE HORDE! Weapons provided: rifles, pistols, bow and arrow. The cannon don't work well on zombies because only a head shot takes them down permanently. Show up any time to practice on the shooting range.
Start your weekend with an adventure in Discovery Grid. A different adventure every Saturday morning, archery, surfing, horseback riding, sailing, hunting.
Try your skill to see how long you can ride the Mechanical Bronco at different speeds! 1000 gloebits to first place at the difficult level! The Secret is out! The new Mechanical Bronco was unveiled at the Virtual Seattle Pop Up Market in Discovery Grid. Compete to be the best marksman with a rifle at 50 meters at the shooting range on region Pangaea on Discovery Grid. First place cash prize in skilled mode of 1000 Gloebits, second place prize of 500 gloebits. Show up any time and practice with the supplied guns.
Join us on a hike through the pine forest shooting dinosaurs with the supplied weapons. We’ll start by riding a canoe or kayak down the mountain, through the Lost World gate across a lake teaming with megaladon and ichthyosaurs. No cash prizes this time but you get to take home a trophy: A dino head to mount on your wall or a skin rug for the floor in your hunting lodge. (The ichyosaurs bite, but we will be hunting stegosaurs, triceratops, hadrosaurs, velociraptors and of course T-rex).

Two heats: one with bows in beginner mode, one in skilled shooter mode (arrows fall with gravity). First place cash prize in skilled mode of 1000 Gloebits, but there is a catch: I am the greatest archer in the Metaverse and you must beat my score! Yes, I wrote the scripts in the bows, targets and scoreboards, what is your point? Second place prize of 500 gloebits. Seriously you could beat my score by visiting the region, learning to put the demo bows in skilled mode and practice, practice, practice!
Gundahar Bravin Might be nice, can't tell. I arrived at a forced TOS agreement, clicked and went to the website and agreed. Then I was stuck at the portal and could not move, trapped in perpetual hell. I had to crash my game client to even get back to my home.
Kater_v_kater Mann Kommt nicht weiter auch wenn man Zustimmt schade Eigentlich muss man halt woanders kaufen
Kayaker Magic The TOS is the same as most other grids, like Kitely. You just have to click on a link, go to a WEB page, and click agree. If you use the link Discovery gives you, it will remember who you are and you won't have to fill in a form.
