Congrats Lone on some well deserved recognition for all your hard work and dedication on helping OS live out its potential. With 16 years on SL and 13 years on OS (and a brief stint on the once promising AuroraSims that existed on the Nova Grid, circa 2012) and after one year on Wolf Territories, I can honestly say that Wolf Territories Grid has met what I have been hoping for in OS all of these years. A stable, innovative, and affordable open environment to create on.
As a hobbyist, SL is much too expensive to do anything expansive or elaborate on. Due to the pricing on SL, I would feel guilty if I was not on it every day. It was the only way i could justify in my head, paying out their high tiers SL charged. But, WT land-rental fees, the grid's stability and innovations (i.e. region control panel) has definitely hit a sweet spot with me. On the creative end, I do not feel like I have to cram all the ideas in my head in a 256 x 256 space, ala SL. WT gives me the opportunity to spread the build-scales out, giving it a more realistic perspective (i.e. highway with interchanges). With being able to build on four WT regions (SL equivalent of 64), I will definitely keep myself busy building in the years to come and that is doing so, without draining my bank.
If you are escaping from SL, welcome to OS and definitely make an account at Wolf Territories or hypergrid over from another. You will be impressed and experience first-hand what the fuss is all about.
I do not know how Lone Wolf does it all, but he is definitely the wizard of OS alchemy :)
