CHAT IS COMING

People who like to chat will soon have an option to do that on a Discord server cleverly named "What Are You Looking For".

It will, of course, have a channel for posting your requests and replies. It will ALSO have a CHAT, and other text, channels.

I'm looking for long-term members who have a good understanding of what this OSW group is intended to do, and who also have experience setting up a Discord server. What safety and moderation bots would be good to have? What text channels will be useful? For example, separate channels for types of items, like Avatar Components, Clothing, Landscaping, Tools & Scripts,? A pinned post of recommended shops for each kind of item?

I am putting together a team of people who will be closely involved in setting up the server. We will keep you informed via comments to this post, and we will consider your suggestions closely.

Dear Alba Princess, I fail to understand your issue. You are speaking here of real people generating your traffic—so where exactly does the problem lie? What is being blocked here are fake traffic avatars—something I greatly appreciate about OSW, as it serves the common good of the entire OpenSim community. Your statement now confirms that fake avatars were indeed being used at ALBA. These illegitimate methods are repeatedly exploited by others to boost their rankings or to artificially inflate traffic figures at events.
This is not in the best interest of the OpenSim community as a whole.

Ok Folks, I have to Apologize I was not very Clear on Instructions for your Stamping Stations. Your Stamping Stations should have 3 things. The script, The texture, (FULL PERMISSION for it to work) and the INFO notecard. I have tested three regions today. I have laid a new box out without all the extras.. If your items in the Box are not Full permission it will not share your stamp with the book. if you Modify my scripts please leave them available for me to see. I can't try and fix the issue if the modified script cant be seen. I work 40+ hours a week, have several projects on other platforms. Please bear with me. Its SUPER important that if you make a Stamping Station, you send me a landmark. If I cant find you than neither can the visitors trying to collect Stamps. Will retest these stations next week. Also I should mention so there is NO confusion, the script in the box is set to no running, when your ready check the running box than save.

The E Grid will be offline till Friday as we calibrate new additions and regions.

As you may have seen in Rentals here we now offer Varregions (and Standard Regions) - we're focusing on providing full privacy lands. We will never go on unless asked or invited. I remember one of the first lands I ever rented on OpenSim, years ago -- the owners showed up in a surprise visit to 'check us out and see what we were up to'. I was surprised but more so when they kept doing it as a regular thing.

Didn't work for me. Probably not for many of you too ^^

The E Grid will be back up the second we're done backing up on Friday. After that we expect pretty steady service time, other than maintenance!

If the account already exists it will attempt to log you in. If the account does not exist it will magically create a new account for you and log you in.

I NEED YOUR HELP! I have created a Hypergrid Passport that collects Stamps from Stamping Stations on a Region or Grid. They collect in a Passport Book which is ressed on the ground before you touch there Stamping Station. All Stamps are perm incase the book gets reset.
I need 30 region owners or grid owners to place a Stamping Station Down at your landing and watch your traffic grow as people try and gather all 30 stamps!

How it works
Grid Owner: Drops a texture and the Station Script into any object.
Station Script: Automatically finds the UUID of the texture they dropped.
Book Script: Listens on a secret channel. When the traveler touches a station, the book receives the UUID and applies it to the next empty cube (1-30).
Please drop Your grid Stamp into a Object Along with the script and make sure the ( running )is checked. It is set to not run right now as is.
Once we Get 30 grid or regions to participate I will Release The Hypergrid Passport For All To Come to your region and explore and collect a stamp. You can pick up the Stamping Station Kit NOW on Who Knows. How Cool Is This Going To Be? Come Grab Your Kit Now! Make Your grid or Region Stamp and place it in a Object with the script, and make sure the script is running it is unchecked as it is now. Thanks Mari, that was a BRILLIANT idea~

@opensimworld Some groups want chat and some do not. People get bogged down with personal messages and group chats all coming in. It would be great to toggle this off as a group owner or moderator. @Xinashi and her mods would really benefit from this. Please and thank you.
