Well, as they say, better late than never. We've done about two months of testing and ironed out a lot of bugs (I say a "lot" because it has been horrendous at times). I think we are now in a positions to go "live" and relax a bit.
We have renamed Opengrid to Castlehenge and downsized from 5x5 to 4x4 in an effort to make both regions the same size. As a result, I had to delete a lot of stuff from the outer edges. All the Athena and Decadence stuff has now gone as there is so much of it all over Opensim it was redundant. That has left us with a lot fewer freebies but we have retained Ruth and Roth, Selea Core, Paramount as well as the Clutterfly Warehouse and other open source stuff. Oh, and Synclair Designs is still there, too - authorised mesh women's clothing imports from SL textured in Opensim.
On the technical side; We are still having a few native problems with inventory - missing body parts and EOC errors but they do not seem to affect day to day running of the sims. I've tested hypergrid from another grid and there seems to be a glitch with bakes on mesh. The avatar looks fine to the user, but others see their body as white (no textures). It does not affect clothing, whether mesh or not. A workaround is for the visitor to toggle "Appearance Mode". Then the appearance is normal. This only needs doing once, I'm assuming so that the sim gets texture updates from your home server. Avatars already on the sim look fine to the visitor. We are running Opensimulator version 0.9.2.10 Yetti Release Unix/Linux/Mono Server.

New Home for Clutterfly Warehouse!
For those who prefer legacy avatars, I have recovered the Clutterfly Warehouse from Uzuri. It is now in Opengrid World Shopping Centre.

What's New on Opengrid World?
As you may know, Opengrid World is the new name for Bernicia Prime. But it has changed!
I've tried to keep most of the good stuff where possible but thought it was time for a bit of a change. I've made more use of the centre of the sim (where the old town was) and turned it into a park and maze. I've also added a small Satyr Farm.
The Quick Shopping area has been given a good makeover with new layout and shops. I've added more Ruth2 and Roth2 stuff that I haven't seen anywhere else on Opensim. A new store called "Odds and Ends", which has lots of goodies from Arcadia (pirate buindings) and Paramour (dance balls etc.) and also goodies for Tinies. The old favourites are all still there - Selea Core, Athena, Athena Petite, Decadence, For Men, Synclair Designs (I must get around to making more for that store), Adult Store etc.
As always, everything is free.

After software updates, we are back!
I've migrated the region to SSD and would appreciate it if visitors would let me know here about your experience when visiting Bernicia. If you have visited before and can remember your experience, it would be good to know if it has improved or got worse since you last visited.
In particular, It would be helpful if you could let me know about any difficulties in teleporting to the grid and any rez problems you have whilst there. Be aware, though, that the region is quite large and is run on a PC, not a dedicated server, so initial rez times will be slower - up to 5 minutes. Other than that, please let me know if you have difficulties in moving around, copying items etc., it would be a great help.
Our core times vary depending on my workload but will hopefully be between 11am and 8pm BST (UK Time).

After a couple of months "offline", I decided that today is a good time to open up again. It's my RL wedding anniversary, and since no-one is allowed to go out of their RL homes here, going out on Opensim is the next-best thing.
