On the calendar starting at 11 am pst is our first satellite event on another grid - this time at Utopia Skye Grid. The Golden Touch Theater will be performing a show celebrating 10 years of GT. The Golden Touch Theater has performed virtual dance and theatrical productions spanning many genres and styles. This show celebrates a history of those productions vibrant with colors, styles, music, and joy. OPENSIMFEST OPENS IN A FEW HOURS ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH AT 9 AM GRID TIME!!

The Lotus Club at Luxor will be having its grand opening and first music event on Saturday, October 14th at 2 pm grid time. Austin Moores and the Angels will be performing for the event. Would love to see you all there!

It's that time of the year again when OSFest is nearly ready to open the doors of a new grid to exhibitors, merchants, and sponsors to start placing their creations before the official opening on September 15th. I know I've been working on my new exhibit since mid July.

OSFest (OpensimFest) is a big event with tons of exhibits from multiple grids, including individual exhibitors, merchants, and artists, as well as educators and grid owners. Each year they create a grid just for the festival with multiple regions and tons of performers that lasts 2 weeks. At the end they have a large celebration just before the entire grid is taken down until the next year.

My passion is building large architectural structures and regions for commercial, spiritual, and entertainment purposes, and doing them with highly detailed surfaces and textures. While I am not primarily in the business of making smaller items, in the process of making a venue I inevitably end up adding furniture, lighting, and accessories that match the style. A lot of these I make myself, but some, like this beautiful Art Deco Lamp, which will be part of my new OSFest build, I source from 3D modeling sites.

The first photo is of an original lamp from the 1920s, currently available on Etsy for about $300 usd. The second is the 3D model by Katmit developed for 3D printers. I purchased it on Renderhub for $12 and it came with an Extended Use license. After a lot of work with faces and UV maps I was finally able to get Firestorm to let my version upload, which is the last pic. I was meh about the plain globe, so I replaced that with something more interesting and added my light script. This little project took a lot more time and effort than I planned for, but I'll spend many happy moments sitting at the bar just looking at this lovely piece of art that began life a hundred years ago.

Luxor is my home and a place of meditation and mystery for spiritual pilgrims. The Celestial Pavillion is a large, open venue done in a reimagined ancient dynastic style, perfect for ancient Egyptian, Greek, or Roman roleplay, live performers, DJs, and any other large celebration or gathering, such as grid parties, birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.

The Pavillion was inspired by the Temple of Isis at Philae on Agilkia Island located on the Nile River, but is not an exact replica. More than two thirds of Philae's surviving structures were built in the Ptolemaic era, during which the island became a prominent site of pilgrimage not only for Egyptians and Nubians but for pilgrims from as far as Anatolia, Crete, and the Greek mainland. During the Roman era, Philae was the site of the last known inscription in Egyptian hieroglyphs, written in AD 394, and the last known Demotic inscription, written in 452.

The Pavillion comes complete with multiple mesh lotus columns, both taller and shorter fire braziers, mesh date palms in exquisite polished gold planters, as well as various mesh statues. The build is 157 prims with all plants and braziers placed. The base footprint is 80 x 35 meters. A pair of these temples can be seen at my home region of Luxor flanking both sides of the Main Harbor.

These are the mysterious and beautiful Southern Oracle Sphinxes from the 1984 movie The Neverending Story, perfect for fantasy, Egyptian, roleplay, or ancient regions. Two pairs are included: a left and a right sphinx in both Blue and Sandstone. Each statue is made up of the mesh model plus 3 light prims. The statues rez pretty large but can be modified to any height.

The build uses materials textures which give the surface additional detail and reflection, but these can only be seen with advanced lighting model activated in your preferences. Looks best under night settings.

The Meditation Temple began life as a sponsor display on the main entertainment region of last year's OpensimFest and garnered a lot of positive feedback. After OsFest, I moved it to its permanent home on Luxor on Wolf Territories grid where visitors can walk through it. Keep in mind that nothing on Luxor is set for sale but that much of it will be released exclusively on the Kitely Market in the days and weeks to come.

This Saturday, June 17th, a unique one-time-only GT number will be performed at Fetish Fire! 3pm grid time!

This Saturday's set at Fetish Fire is going to be truly spectacular. It's a theme night of "Celebrations," as we'll celebrate some very special birthdays this month. On top of that, the Golden Touch is doing a very special number called Golden Fire. It's a one-time-only showing of a number more intimate than ever by GT. There are 4 temples currently on Luxor, three of which are devoted to the great spiritual cycle represented by the goddess Isis, her husband Osiris, and their son Horus. The Great Pyramid is dedicated to Isis of course, the temple of Osiris is directly behind it, and this new build to the right of the pyramid is the temple of Horus. I'm the little spec at the top of the upper stairs. I haven't built the main temple on the new site yet, only the surrounding colonnades. Textures to come soon also.

If you visit Luxor and see me there, I'm usually working on the region and not camping out, so say hi. I love meeting new people and giving impromptu tours :-)

Lunaria Emporium is my flagship store located on Wolf Territories Grid, where you'll find unique products created solely by me that can be purchased with Gloebits, or with other pay options through links to the Kitely Market.

The central store is large, with multiple rooms that include themes such as Christmas, Gothic, Vampire, Arcane Magic, Castles, Steampunk Airships, Medieval, Japanese/Asian, Greek and Roman, Statuary, Decor, freebies, large architecture in multiple styles, and large Venues.

Surrounding the central rotunda are large viewing parcels at ground level where you can walk through all of the structures available for purchase and fully experience each build. They can be accessed by teleport boards, bridges, flying, or taking a boat ride.

There is a freebies section inside the central store with several items free to anyone. Also available for free are the Ruth 2.0 and Roth 2.0 mesh avatars.

I love having water in and around all my regions so that visitors can hop in a boat and take a tour. On Wolf Territories Grid, all 1300+ 4x4 varregions are connected by water so you can jump in one of my little boats (not my creation) and explore the entire grid if you like. So come to shop then find one of the boats at the docks and have fun touring. The boats hold 4 people so bring friends :-)

Once I'm finished upgrading Luxor, it might be time to revisit this project and turn it into something really fabulous. I have some interesting ideas, including a possible Atlantis region. We'll see. This began life a few years ago as a scene concept for a chapter in a book I'm writing, then I set it aside until I could decide what I wanted to do with it.

I had a visitor a couple of days ago at Luxor while I was working on some new stuff there. They messaged me to let me know how well my textures 'fit' together. I thanked them then I asked them if they had shared environment on with a higher graphics setting. They said no. I said 'try it'. next thing I hear is WHOA...
