The Virtual Laboratory Training and Career Center (VLTCC) is also known as the “Virtual Laboratory Training, Career Recruitment and Retention (VLTC) Project”. It is a 3D immersive virtual world-based integration of sexually transmitted disease (STI) laboratory training; clinical/medical laboratory updates; laboratory guidelines; and laboratory science career awareness. The VLTCC embodies the vision of the Project's creator and manager, Sally S. Cherry, BS, MT(ASCP) aka @SallyCherry. The overall vision, "Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real" is reflected throughout the VLTCC... "Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real in Laboratory Science". The mission of the VLTCC is to integrate clinical laboratory training; showcase medical laboratory resources; share laboratory and public health information; and promote medical laboratory careers within 3D immersive virtual worlds. @SallyCherry is assisted in-world by the Kitely-based avatar, Sally Cherry.

The nine-region VLTCC complex houses more than twenty (20) featured parcels including two major components within the Ms. BugLady's BioChamber parcel... the BioHazard Unit and the SARS-CoV-2 Unit. Each Unit features laboratory information, resources and exhibits pertaining to SARS-CoV-2, the aggressive RNA virus that causes coronavirus disease aka COVID-19.
