Learn some basics of making shadows, highlights, and wrinkles on fabric for clothing, cushions, or upholstered furniture. You will learn techniques for making thicker and thinner shadows and highlights, and how to blend shadows and highlights to make wrinkles.This class is taught with Paint.net graphics program. This 90-minute beginner class will teach you how to make textures for a system shirt and how to upload and use them. This class is taught with Paint.net graphics program. Tuesday, September 25th. Instructor: Emmalena Damour.

Learn to make clothing alpha layers and masks using the SLUV templates from Robin Woods. This class is taught with Paint.net graphics program. Tuesday, September 18th. Instructor: Emmalena Damour.

Learn to terraform and manage your land, including how to create parcels. Hands-on experience! Fridays at 2pm. Instructor: Damon Zuiden.

Hi everyone, today I want to tell you about a great resource we have here in DigiWorldz that you may not be aware of—Rubyleaf Dryke! Ruby has been teaching scripting twice a week, every week, almost since we opened our doors at Metaverse University. Come rain or shine—students or no—Ruby has been making herself available to help people learn to script. Whether you want to learn it in depth, or just learn to "tweak" existing scripts, Ruby can help!
If you are new to virtual, you may not realize how useful a working knowledge of scripting can be. If you are here just to have fun, not to build, you may think learning to script is not for you. But there are so many ways it can come in handy! Make those lamps you bought turn on and off with a click! Make that door slide instead of swing! Change textures on your furniture or landscaping with a click! Change your parcel radio station with a click instead of having to go through menus and panels! Scripting can simplify and expand your virtual life!

Beginner Blender 3D Modeling with Mike Lorrey:
For absolute beginners, learn your way around the Blender application, the tools, key combos, etc. You will learn to make a mesh object in Blender, modify it, create materials, assign parts of the mesh to them, UV mapping, and exporting for OS use.
Beginning Inworld Photography with Gray Delwood:
Beginning Photography will get you familiar with the inworld tools. Learn how to use your viewer camera and snapshot tools, save photos to your inventory, and more.
Creativity–What Do I Build Next? with Don Smith:
A fun class to help folks discover creative ideas! This class will help you figure out what to build and/or script next!

Come learn to build, texture, script, animate, use Blender, and photograph the cool stuff you make. And if you're not sure what to work on next, we've got a class for that, too!
Basic Building with John Kalverwitz:
Learn basic building and prim manipulation (continuing session from last month).
Basic Scripting with Rubyleaf Dryke:
Get a solid footing with the basics - learn how scripts work and how to create them.
Beginner Blender 3D Modeling with Mike Lorrey:
For absolute beginners, learn your way around the Blender application, the tools, key combos, etc. You will learn to make a mesh object in Blender, modify it, create materials, assign parts of the mesh to them, UV mapping, and exporting for OS use.
Beginning Inworld Photography with Gray Delwood:
Beginning Photography will get you familiar with the inworld tools. Learn how to use your viewer camera and snapshot tools, save photos to your inventory, and more.
Creativity–What Do I Build Next? with Don Smith:
A fun class to help folks discover creative ideas! This class will help you figure out what to build and/or script next!

Everyone likes to see their cars go, their boat sail, or their planes fly - learn the basics of getting it to go!

A fun and open discussion about the personalities behind the avatars that will include exploration of the MBTI (Myers/BrIggs Type IndIcator) and questions like why we enjoy virtual life.

We've got a new class starting this month: Photography 101! Improve your picture-taking inworld with tips & techniques from a professional artist. Learn to work with windlights, backgrounds, and AOs & pose balls, as well as basic composition and editing. A 1-time class, offered every other Wednesday evening at MVU campus. We hope to see you there!
The "Region Management" and "Fun with NPCs" classes will be on hiatus for the next 6 weeks. Classes will resume in August.
